Don't think I've ever seen it before but noticed this at my local grocery store. I'm wondering if it would be an acceptable MAOI for a pharma/psilo huasca. And if so, what dosage would be a good starter?

If I get it, I'll probably experiment with THC first. Past experimentation with rue left me with side effects similar to what I experience from SSRIs and seem to be related to a surplus of serotonin in my brain resulting in hyper aggression. I'm wanting to avoid that, obviously and was thinking the comparative weakness of passiflora may help me find a better dose.

I haven't found threads on anything but water extracts. This is an alcohol based tincture here's the info label/ Sorry for the blurry, took pic w/o my glasses on.

I've been using this ethano-hydrolic passiflora tincture, with mushrooms or LSD. Never tried to activiate DMT orally as I think it is weak, and I would be concerned of the alcohol and harmalas combos which gives me headache at times too.
If you do find it activiate n,n-DMT orally, please report back.
I know it has been good enough to let me sleep while LSD so I stil think it is a valuable tincture to have in ones cabinets.
I wait for summer to make my own with the flowers around !Thumbs up

Tips : when concerned with ethanol used as preservative, you can always boil it off a bit ( like we do in gastronomy ) before ingestion. I always think ethano-hydrolic tincture to be far superior in general to other capsules and pills they offer in parapharmacy shops. Go for tinctures !!

I've been curious about this as well. The tincture I have is the same brand; I haven't noticed any significant potentiation with cannabis but I did recently drink about half a bottle of it before bed and I was definitely MAOI inhibited. Nothing too serious but I became extremely drowsy, smoked a bit of herb and entered a harmalas-esque sort of dream state before falling asleep.

I don't think it's as efficient as rue or caapi but it certainly seems to work. I haven't tried it with DMT but I plan to very soon! Big grin

Thanks, y'all.

I'm not even sure what I'd use it with, prolly psilo. When I get around to it, will definitely update!

Praxis, TY for the dosage info. That's what I figured, that a large amount would have to be consumed.

I'll second that. Passionflower (oral) + shrooms = kerpow! Not public material Big grin

That was the first time mushrooms got really weird for me. I was young and foolish :/

That's neither a recommendation, nor the converse. But if in the interests of science you choose to do so, null24, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Ok, so I'll not be consuming 1/2 bottle out of the gate, but rather do some ramping dose experiments first. Although I want to space them apart pretty far. I've been a little trepidatious with harmalas as over consumption ( which is a line I'm unsure of where it gets crossed) seems to trigger adverse effects with me personally akin to what I experience with SSRI meds- hyper aggression. So caution is best, methinks. Strangely enough, too much rue over a period of time appears to be linked with that in me as it's happened twice.

Im not seeing this experiment happening very soon, maybe within a couple weeks. I'm merely curious but will let y'all know.

Ive used passiflora with shrooms and cacti and both experiences were influenced for the better, much calmer. I prefferred smoking it in a joint but alos tried the tincture before shrooms, swilled around maybe 6ml, a few droppers worth. That wasnt a very effective maoi as far as I could tell, there wasnt much potentiation but the synergy with the diazepam -type chemicals and flavanoids made for a very calm and colourful trip, there may have been some maoi action as on both occasions it seemed to go oon longer than normal especialy with the cacti.
