REPORT

Previously, I had tried some 5x salvia from a local smoke shop. At the time, in my area, it was legal to do so. My first time, I didn't hold it properly, I had no torch and effects were very slight. So a friend of mine (his first effects were much stronger from the 5x) decided to go balls out and get the '45x standardized' salvia that was at the shop. I have no way of knowing if it was truly that potent, and likely not, but this is what followed:

My friend and I sat on separate couches in the living room with a glass bubbler and our vial of extract/leaf. I divided the gram into 8ths and packed 1/8th into the bowl and smiled at my friend before I dove in and took it straight to the lung with a torch lighter. As I held my breath, I set the bubbler on the coffee table between us and he packed a bowl and waited for me to show signs of tripping. The TV was on (poor, poor choice there...) and the show Supernatural was on. As the feel of gravity started to set in (I was still holding the smoke in), the sound of the TV caught my attention. Two characters were on a plane and a vortex appeared for some reason. And one of the characters shouted through whirling wind and lighting strobes, "DON'T...GO IN...TO THE VORTEX!" freaked me the fuck out, I tell you.

I was forced to exhale at this point and somehow stumbled to the TV (no remote) and turned it off and got back to my seat. But that was all I could manage from that point to the end of my trip. I collapsed backwards onto the couch and saw my friend already reclined, looking almost comatose. At that point the whole room swirled and morphed, not unlike the screen change that occurs when you start a battle in Final Fantasy games.

The whole room seemed to get sucked into a singularity that originated inside a wooden box on the coffee table, painted green with a daffodil on the top. (My friend later described the same screen wipe into the wooden box later, but a totally different trip.) The transportation was instant- no fractals, or travel time, I was just there.

I looked around and realized I was in a smallish parking lot. But, not, at the same time. Everything was somewhere between stop-motion clay animation and fischer-price plastic. I was sitting on a smooth, plastic curb in a small parking lot in front of a convenience store, it seemed. Looked like the Kwik-E-Mart from the Simpsons. Then a figure walked up to me. He looked like what some people here have described as "Lego People"- to me, he looked normal height and proportion for a human, but with smooth, plastic skin that had painted on expression. Not like a mannequin, but more like an action figure. He walked up to me and said, "Hey- what are you doing here? You're not supposed to be be here, yet."

I got the impression he has helping me stand up off the curb, and suddenly came crashing back into my body. My friend was still tripping, it looked like, and I was here, back in the flesh. I tried to ask my friend if he was still tripping or just laying there, and my mouth felt full of marbles. I could hear what I was saying, clearly, but it was all gibberish. This continued for a couple minutes as I depressurized and watched my friend come back. I have to admit a guilty pleasure in watching him struggle to try and speak to me, haha.

All in all, from blast off to being able to function again was ten minutes. I wouldn't say I fully returned to baseline until maybe 20 minutes, though.
My eyes shut tight to avoid the sight
Anticipating the end, losing the will to fight
Droplets of "yes" and "no"
In an ocean of "maybe"
