Hello everyone!

I was inspired DeltaSpice's post on Tynanthus panurensis as a changa additive so I decided to make my own version. I had some cielo vine TPA extract sitting in the vault for some time so i decided to use that as my harmala. Below is my final recipe:

700 mg Tyanthus panurensis (Clavohuasca)
300 mg Damiana finely shredded
700 mg Acacia confusa spice
300 mg Mimosa jim jam
250 mg Cielo vine TPA extract
Added at the end for aesthetics:
50 mg Rose Hips
50 mg clitoria ternatea

I used methanol as my solvent and the caapi harmalas dissolved like a champ. (Thank you MelCat!)

I have had it curing in a jar for 2 weeks and will be bio-assaying this weekend! I am super exited to try this new recipe. Thank you for everyone at the nexus for dropin' knowledge bombs on the daily!

I will add pictures and a trip report later this week...

Smile looks very nice (sexy). Of the clitoria you used only the petals? Have you tried smoalk clavohuasca before? Is it rather on the smooth or on the harsh side of things?

Looks very yummy. Aesthetically delightful and a nice mix of alkaloids.

Great work. Smile

Intezam,

I only used the petals with the clitoria. I got it as a free gift and thought the indigo and hot green colors really popped, especially when mixed with the rose petals! It didn't hurt that the plant is an aphrodisiac. My main goal is to attract the sexy fairies with this mix. Big grin I have not tried smoking clavohuasca before. To be honest, I was a little weary using bark as my base ingredient. I usually soak any additive in ethanol for 2 weeks to a month and pour the liquid goodness onto mullein. I will smoalk using a bubbler and my GVG and report back the results in the name of science.

I inspired some one. Finally, recognition Smile

Your Changa looks nice.

I have a Clitoria Changa, complete waste of spice as was mugwort.

Recently I found a new nasty tasting plant for Changa, Chacaruna.

It tastes rotten and basically give me an instant head ache . You live n learn Big grin

I tried my blend out last night and it was by far the best mixes I have ever made! The smoke was smooth and tasty, the blend roasted perfectly in my bubbler and finally I had some of the most epic feelings of euphoria Ive ever had on a trip. I smoalked 150mg at a leisurely pace spaced out between 6 or 7 hits. I felt I could have had a very powerful experience if I tried to take the whole cone down at once. After a couple years of making various changa mixes I think I have found my go to blend!

I have come to the conclusion that every batch is different.

Even if you use the same ingredients from the same source.

If you have a special batch, then treasure it because you may not be able to replicate it.

You might think that it is a change in the person and not the batch that gives different effects but I have shared my batches with close friends and family who always report back.

I recently proved this by replicating the most amazing Changa to date, from the same ingredients and extractions. The batches have very different characteristics .

Strange? Well everything about these Alkaloids is strange .

Delta Spice,

That is something I need to think about. I am definitely not finished experimenting with blends. I have cupboards filled with obscure herbs in mason jars that i procured to be used in changa recipes. I have a little bit of an obsession. Big grin For example, I have some Yinti and Tigre Caapi strains from Colombia that I want to experiment with next. Unfortunately they are still in whole vine form. So I am not sure how I am going to get it to shredded/powdered so I can start extracting the goodies.

Wrap the vine up in an old/cheap towel and start hammering it. Then pull it apart.
Check out this tek :

Remember to simmer not boil otherwise you will lose the goodness.
Also try 1 hour boils, the longer the better.

Do you think I could use lime instead of lye in this tek? I've been trying to avoid using lye in my teks as of late. Also, is there a specific name for that type of glassware that is used (the upside cone looking one?)

I wanted to use Sodium Carbonate but was advised to use Lye.

Use lye is my advise.

Jars, I use Kilner Preserving Jars. They are cheap, tough and can take boiling water

Another tip , use Fumaric Acid instead of vinegar for larger yields.

Just procured the NaOH, and the fumaric acid. Should receive them by the end of the week. I just re-upped on ball mason jars. But will look into the kilner ones. Thanks!

I will start a new thread on the Yinti and Tigre caapi extractions.
