It's when we leave the comforting embrace of the home environment our parents provided to expand outwards into the world, flock to a potential career in which we hope to fulfil us; both personally and financially. It is often expected of us to be able to decide what we would be happy doing the rest of our lives. Even though at the young age of 18, we haven't yet experienced what this world has to offer. We sometimes look to our elders for guidance, but all they seem suggest is to take up the life of a tradesman. Us here at the Nexus are part of an ever growing counter-culture, and I'm sure most of you are passionate about subjects such as metaphysics, entheogenic experiences, etc. But if one is truly passionate about these things, to the point if they studied them life long and making a living of it, it would sure make their heart sing.

Recently I've come across an organization called the "University of Metaphysics." https://universityofmetaphysics.com/ It is a school in which they study the very things I see posted here at the Nexus quite often. I was wondering if any of you were informed about the existence of such organizations, and what you think of them and their possibility. I am not sure what sort of qualification it would provide but I know for sure there is not a lot of demand for metaphysicians in western society

I think those who enjoy studying this field of life often do so in a private context and often with the use of psychedelics as well as literature and intropersonal analysis of concepts etc.

What the limitation is of studying privately though is that there are not a lot of opportunities to meet other like minded individuals apart from forums like this and then you might not find people that are as dedicated to it as you are. So the university you mention would be an appropriate place to meet others if you find conversing about this field an intergral part of learning it. Personally, I dont. Whenever I talk about it with others although it is fascinating watching topics be rebounded and reformulated... I end up completely forgetting the conversation and not even caring about what happend. Whereas if I read material it tends to stay with me a lot more.

Be aware of the costs involved with these programs, to ensure that the value of what you expect to get out of it doesn't fall short of what they are asking you to spend for the privilege to do so.
