Hi all!
I'm going to receive a large amount of rue seeds soon and I was exploring the options to remove the nauseating effects of the rue tea.

So far these are the methods I've thought of:
1) Ginger, mint and chamomile tea
2) Lemon essential oil, a few drops orally
3) Extraction of alkaloids and using them directly
4) Over the counter anti-nausea medication (don't want to risk possible interactions so I don't think I will try this)

Do you have any other suggestions?
I will try them and report my findings.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

While purified extracts will seriously reduce stomach upset, a certain amount of intestinal discomfort is inevitable with harmala alkaloids. some people perceive this as a minor nuisance, others experience it as a barely tolerable nausea, especially on higher doses. At least with an extract you'll probably not be projectile-vomiting.

Be especially careful with anything containing scopolamine in particular. In general, do always check MAOI compatibility listings. While the harmalas are technically RIMAs, caution should always be exercised.

Blackcurrant juice may mask some of the intense bitterness of harmala alkaloids.

Rue tea makes you nauseous fullstop!

Yeah, the flavour doesn't help but I don't think that's what causes the nausea. Masking the flavour won't help you there.

I smoalk freebase now but in my tea brewing days the best I found was to take a sip every 20 minutes and the effect would build up over 2 or even 3 hours without producing (much) nausea.

In all of reality there are not two. There is just the one thing. And I am that.

nausea is part of it, when it happens. No way around it IME. Take mushrooms if you want oral DMT'ish trip without the harmalas.
Long live the unwoke.

Even purified harmalas will give you nausea when you take enough.

I just don't resist the purge and lay down still in the dark. It gets easier to deal with over time working with it.

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"
