Here's a much simpler, easier guide on how to install DeepDream on Windows: https://www.reddit.com/r...ewbie_guide_for_windows/EDIT: Here's one with pictures too: http://overstruck.com/ho...es-deepdream-in-windows/

Quote:I think you should inform yourself about what Transhumanism really is, and who is behind such sinister ideas. I call it sinister but actually its pathological. Thank God, that true AI will remain a thing of SciFi media. Sorry, but isn't accusing dreamers of being ignorant is a bit small-minded? I encourage us to imagine consciousness on space- and time-scales that transcend those of human consciousness. Every day I am thankful that I was introduced to psychedelic drugs.

For those who are interested, Praxis and I co-authored an article about this stuff, from a neuroscience perspective. Unlocking The Doors Of PerceptionBlessings ~ND "There are many paths up the same mountain."

I look forward to reading it!! Thanks for writing and posting. JBArk JBArk is a Mandelthought; a non-fiction character in a drama of his own design he calls "LIFE" who partakes in consciousness expanding activities and substances; he should in no way be confused with SWIM, who is an eminently data-mineable and prolific character who has somehow convinced himself the target he wears on his forehead is actually a shield.

AWESOME interview. Thanks to both of you. As I said in the OP, I have always suspected that - at least visually - one of the things psychedelics do is to mess with and alter our object recognition "software". Nice to see my wild speculations articulated by someone of intelligence and authority. These things make me feel physically sick. They remind me of a psychedelic experience in which I was attacked by a grotesque and malevolent demon. The visuals produced by this algorithm remind me of that experience and to this day make me feel repulsed. Ugh
I think they better improve the algorithm quite some before they produce something that would be pleasant to look at.

I get nausea when I look at these pics as well. reminds me of a heavy upramp when the 5HT agonist really hits the gut!
I had a dream about deep dream. It was called Deep Enlightenment and every body could feed it their life histories and then it would spit back a Zen Koan. A very trippy dream.

I see random images tweaked & fractalized with dog faces and rainbows.. The technological implications are compelling, and I enjoy the commentary. Ai is a fascinating subject.. But the images are unimpressive, and make me slightly nauseous also, more of this dogs face graphed into hands and breasts and I'm going to have a headache.

always wondered why so many of the pics generated by www.dreamscopeapp.com (the underlying neural network program is part of Google) look like acid or ayahuasca visions. Here's an explanation, including comments from the psychedelic researcher people at Johns Hopkins, regarding why that is: Psychedelics and nerual networkspau attached the following image(s): swim.jpg (150kb) downloaded 48 time(s).WHOA!

one of the questions raised in this thread, such as how a Nexian brain might differ from a non-Nexian brain, may get answered one of these days thanks to studies like this one: Maps of the brain's processing connectionspau attached the following image(s): brain-neurons-3.png (2,351kb) downloaded 36 time(s).WHOA!
