Every time i smoke weed, for the next 3 days - 1 week after i smoke, i find myself getting extremely irritable/angry/frustrated with everything if it isn't being done my way (i know this sounds arrogant), i'm not usually like this. An example is, if the house isn't clean, and people leave there stuff lying around, it makes me extremely irritable, or if the bins needs to be done and my little sister gives me attitude whilst I'm cooking, i get extremely frustrated with her, when usually, I'm patient with her and let her do stuff on her own time, after i smoke weed, my mentality turns more into "get it done now, or i'll get the shits". - It tends to be my little Virgo Neat freak personality coming out, if things are neat and tidy, perfect, but if they aren't, theres this feeling of irritability (i try not to allow myself to "snap" when this is happening).

Just wondering if anyone else has these effects, as this usually isn't a part of my personality, but after i smoke weed, the next few days i feel like this, OR if there is any research on this topic, i have looked but nothing solid has come up, only theories without any study cases.

Yes!

I'll preface by saying i'm a totally weed noob. I'm almost thirty and have smoked weed maybe six or seven times since i was eighteen. I've never really read much about weed to know the effects except the obvious stoner type cliches.

So i was really surprised to find that a) weed is really psychedelic for me, especially after the first time i had mushrooms. and b) i've noticed the past few times i've smoked (have smoked once a month for the past three months) that i get extremely irritable the next day. the smallest things make me swell up in anger. I thought it might have just been a coincidence but maybe not... curious to hear what others have to say.

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

For me it is the complete opposite, but it may just be me! Wink Wink

However, I also smoke nearly every single night. Not all day long or anything but usually before bed. I found that after prolonged use, I am more at peace with everything. I do get irritable at times but I can't say whether or not it has anything to do with my use of cannabis.

Cannabis mellows me out pretty dramatically. Even after nights where I don't smoke I do not experience any negative effects. But everyone is different and every substance will produce different effects for each individual.

I've known people that say they become irritable the day after smoking cannabis so they stopped taking it altogether. I kinda see it as a 'what goes around' type phenomena, as it may help you relax for a few hours but then it can have the opposite effect in the long run. I notice when i smoke less i'm much more communicative in general, but apart from that (and difficulty waking up in the morning) i don't get any negative side-effects from cannabis.

Definitely. It takes a lot more to control my anger and my patience is far shorter when I'm smoking cannabis every day. This had become so normal for me that I didn't realize it until I stopped smoking cannabis for a couple years. I'm back to using it everyday and I do get irritable a lot easier but I find my use of Salvia really helps to mitigate that. Not a perfect solution but it works Thumbs up

I do plan on stopping completely once the current stash I have is gone. Cannabis has these negative effects on my moods, yes, but it's really the effects it has on my dreams that I find unacceptable. Far more vivid, easier to become lucid, and way better dream recall when I'm not using cannabis.

likely not a popular opinion on the nexus, but feel strongly about it so ill say

these are withdrawal symptoms! I have them too after i smoke. Its like there is some goo in my brain.

Its sooo weird, sometimes i go for many months without smoking. And when i smoke there is not much too it, just relaxing and feeling nice.
But it usually does not stay like this for me. I go into a habit, smoke every week... not for long and im smoking everyday for a week.. then everyday for a longer period and so on. Then i stop again...

It really disturbs me, i lose focus of my life, go adrift in some fantasies.

When im clear and clean up again, im in shit usually. Something important i usually fuck up or miss opportunities to go in the direction i want with my life during a binge, because of the withdrawal related issues.

For all this time that im smoking i always percieved it as something innocent, nothing all that bad.

I dont want to be stone cold like i get from withdrawal, so i often smoked again and told myself that its the weed that keeps me a good person etc.
When in fact its the weed thats making me go cold due to withdrawal, then it helps me again to be in contact with my emotions.

So im glad its illegal where i live and i dont need to get in contact with people smoking on a regular basis.

Oke back to your question, its withdrawal symptoms, maybe not everyone has them but i have experienced it a lot and seen it a lot. Smokers are usually completely blindsided to anything negative about weed so its not something well known, as far as i know.

Long story short, fuck weed and its innocent addictive reality distortion in the long term.

Hmmm. I'm like The Grateful One. I feel energised and happier after I smoke. The day after I smoke, I feel revitalised and I work harder. I also only smoke pure green. No tobacco. A mate of mine that smoked with tobacco would get those withdrawal effects. I think everyone reacts differently to it. I'm just lucky and grateful that it works well with me.

Only feel energized the first time i take it after a looong break

strange thing is, when i take piracetam the day after it acts like an antidote. No reduction of cognitive functions

Id really like to know what is going on in my brain due to taking it. Feels all goey, either something is used up or there is too much trash for my brain to take out

I get unsettled the next day when I don't work through in my mind whatever problems I've left neglected that pop up high, choosing instead to binge eat the thoughts away.
I think it's very specific to the individual. If something ain't working and you know it ain't working, there's no sense in continuing the pattern, until you can fix it.
Inconsistency is in my nature.
