Hey guys so I wanted to share this experience that I had with changa a few days ago. I see there's a template for bioassays available so I thought I'd use that, but since it's just so long I think I might want to put the template part in spoiler tags - which I understand might not be okay. What do you guys think?

PRE-CONDITIONS
(mind)Set: Fairly clear - I have some worries, but I'm trying not to think about them.
(physical condition) Set: I've got a kind of lumbar/sciatica thing going but with lots of quality stretching and cannabis my pain is very manageable.
Setting (location): My friend's cabin, out in the mountains. We had ample food, water, and first aid supplies. It's a nice place!
time of day: Sunny morning, about 10:30 AM (maybe 11:45 AM when the changa happened)
recent drug use: Marijuana daily, fluvoxamine 50mg daily (at 7:30 AM that day)
last meal: 10:45 AM, tangerines and crackers.

PARTICIPANT
Gender: Male
body weight: 82 kg
known sensitivities: None really
history of use: I've danced with DeMeTer more than a couple of times, but I think I've only really broken through once before this.

BIOASSAY

Substance(s): Psilocybe cubensis mushrooms, DMT, harmala alkaloids, marijuana
Dose(s): 1g mushrooms, 54 mg changa (probably about 16-18 mg DMT and 3 mg harmalas, see trip report at the bottom), a joint and a bowl of cannabis
Method of administration: Ate the boomers. smoked everything else!

EFFECTS

Administration time:
T=0:00 Marijuana smoked, 1g P. cubensis eaten.
T=1:15 54 mg changa smoked with marijuana

Duration: 4 hours
First effects: T=00:30
Peak: T=1:00 to 2:00
Come down:T=2:00 to 4:00
Baseline:T=16:00

Intensity (overall): from 0-4, I'd say a 3.

OPTIONAL
Pleasantness: (0-4) 4
Unpleasantness: (0-4) 1
Visual Intensity: (0-4) 2

AFTER-EFFECTS

Hangover: When I came back from DMT-world I was exceedingly high, looks like the MAOIs boost weed as well? I think I heard that. I was a little moody the next day.
Afterglow: A+ awesome tryptamine afterglow. Euphoria and a sense of connection with nature.

REPORT

So I finally got some workable freebase out of some semi-low-quality acacia bark. 100g has so far only given 270 mg but it's a very very good 270. 170 mg of this was dissolved with 75 mg Syrian Rue extract (salt-then-base aqueous extraction purified in IPA) onto 85 mg of caapi leaves and 85 mg blue lotus. I made a journey with my friend to check out their cabin deep in the mountains and bioassay the blend. Unfortunately while it was drying some of the IPA appears to have been poured out when the jar fell - be careful with drawers above your lab space!
At any rate, I estimate that we lost 50 mg of each harmala and DMT, but I'll get back to that later. I sandwiched 54 mg of the changa into a bowl of really nice cannabis and we went out onto the porch to watch the mid-morning sun work its way down in between the mountainsides and underneath the trees... A big hit of changa and I'm seeing the same vista in a whole new way. The tops of the trees seem to dance in a irrationally complex pattern, melting and shifting against each other until the whole mountainside is a boiling mass of the greenest greens you've ever seen(s)...
I think DMiTri in the daytime is a really profound method for psychiatric healing. Even though there's not the crazy huge visuals of a closed-eyes or in the dark dose (more like the album cover from Innerspeaker by Tame Impala) I still get this overwhelming feeling of awe... one of he things I remember saying while I was tripping was "nature loves me!"... I'm not sure if this feeling is an entity per se, if it is it would be only in the deepest anthropological sense - the way an old pile of tin cans in the woods is an entity. Like, deep in the woods. What are those cans doing there? I don't know but I'm weeping. I brought my mortal fears and worries to the mountains and I gave them up to the sun. Sweet changa purifies my soul and I feel the sun fall directly onto my face and I know that this is breaking through, but my eyes are open! I see- everything!
All in all I'm exceedingly happy with this. I've got lots of acacia to work with and I'm in no hurry. In addition, we brought back a couple Amanita muscaria caps, which I've since dried and cured (I think they've been heated enough to convert the ibotenic acid - 18ish hours directly under a heat lamp after a day or so of direct sunlight). So I'm very excited, not only about the prospects of psychedelic exploration but I'm excited for my future. The world is just so lovely and I think for the first time in a while I genuinely want to enjoy it... Making my way to a peaceful heart.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Great post man! I was planning on the setting for my first journey into hyperspace in my room, definitely reconsidering that now. Big grin

I never trip inside...

It's simply my protocol.

Great report Rundar! I'm all about journeying in the daylight hours myself, although these days it takes some serious planning to do so.

I live a few minutes away from a huge park with red deer and plenty of places to sneak away and vape. Bucolic spots with streams gurgling away, rabbits, that kind of thing. Early morning in summer when the sun is shining, 7am or so, and a sub-breakthrough dose of DMT is beyond holy as far as i'm concerned. I've had some great experiences there looking at the sky and the trees while the eternal now manifests and overtakes me with bliss.

This year my daughter is getting up much earlier so it's more difficult but when it happens it's pure magic.

Thinking about it maybe a breakthrough dose would be pretty awesome too...

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

Nice! I love the outdoors but being in the middle of a city and only having one nature center and a few nature trails here and there really hinders my ability to go out and enjoy it!

I really enjoy tripping outside and in the daylight if possible, especially with DMT. Mushrooms are my absolute favorite for outside tripping though, but that may just be me! Smile

Thanks for sharing!

(emboldened by me)

Be careful mixing an SSRI and an MAOI!
