A few weeks back I found a cool spot high on a rock formation over looking the forest. I made it a point to remember this place and planned on going back at some point in the future.
Today I was getting some pangs to go back. It was almost like it was being suggested to me to return to this same spot i had found weeks ago. So today I went for a hike and eventually found myself back to this same place again.
I ate a small stem and cap a few hours earlier. Armed with the latest batch of acacia spice I sat up on this high overlook and started to gradually go in. Straight in front of me was a tree growing out from the massive rock formation i was sitting on.
This tree is different from all the ones around it. In any case to make a long story short, as the effects of the spice came on my eyes began to be drawn and almost forced to a knot in this tree directly in front of me. As I stared at this knot strange visual distortions began to take place. The trees all around this central one danced and moved in fractal unison with this central tree knot compelling me to stare at it. I could feel energy flowing out of this one spot into me. This is a leader tree of some kind all the other trees are subordinate to this one. I am drawn to this one spot on the tree and stare at it almost hypnotized by it. The more I stare the weirder things get. the distortions become amazing all centered on this one spot. It feels like a portal of some kind, a center point of some kind.

This tree is drawing me into it in a way I've never experienced before. Even after I'm baseline when I stare at this one spot weird distortions take place perspective is skewed and the tree moves from very close to very far away. Distortions flow out from the spot the more I stare at it a textural field begins to expand from the central knot. I'm in awe of whats happening and notice that when I stare at other spots on other trees nothing happens. There's seems to be something significant
about this particular tree and this one particular knot. when my eye is drawn to this one spot things start to happen there's a weird energy distortion adn amazing morphing visuals that seem to be triggered by staring at this one spot. Anyways I just wanted to share this while its still fresh on my mind. I'm planning on bringing some other people out this spot to see if any of what happened to me today is repeatable. More to come........

Although I can only see a fraction of that forest, it looks incredibly beautiful. Is it deciduous?

There's a mix of deciduous trees in this forest but mostly pine .
This particular tree stands out because there are pines all around it. Its growing out of a huge rock formation as well which adds further to its uniqueness. It is a beautiful piece of forest
that I've been coming to for over 30 years now.
I used to camp and fish in there when I was a kid.
Its a valley with a stream running down the middle and forest going up both sides of the valley. its something like 400+ acres I believe. Its big with mountain bikers, there's super intense terrain throughout the whole area.

That sounds lovely Smile
It appears as though the tree has been fighting for its survival for a long time, I have seen some real survivors who can split rocks with their voraciousness. It might be ready (or struggling) to set seed, and is letting you know subtly that you could be of service. After all, 30 years is a long time to build up trust in someone, it sounds strange I know. But nature has a funny way of communicating with us if we sit and listen with attentiveness for long enough, and is never shy Pleased
Thank you for sharing your experience F Smile

Awesome!!!

I can totally relate...

I've found many a peculiar "energy tree" while tripping in the forest.

It is, in fact, one of the reasons that I got so into raising bonsai trees a decade ago.

Thanks for sharing Felnik!!

I always appreciate a good tree story!

Peace.

Actually, that bark seems to show some kind of Mandelbrot-like swirling spiral. Nice texture Thumbs up
