This is just a bit of a mess around and experimentation,

I collected and dried 150g of suspected Acacia Floribunda phyllodes and twigs,
Pulverized them and soaked in distilled vinegar for 24h, filtered and repeated a total of 7 times, collected all the vinegar and reduced down to roughly 600ml.
I added roughly 125-150ml of clear ammonia and immediately noticed precipitation.

I've researched and read that napatha would be terrible to pull with when using ammonia to base.
So I'm going to wait for all the precipitation to settle, decant/filter and keep the solids then dissolve in warm napatha, filter and evaporate/freeze precip? Confused

Cheers for anyone that can chime in.

Today i decanted/filtered the precipitation out of the solution and left to dry in my evaporation dish.
The precip looked so very dirty!

Once it dried i scraped it up and I warmed up 70-100ml of shellite in a warm water bath and added the dried precip to it, it fizzled and bubbled, i capped the jar and swirled/shook to dissolve what would.
there was a lot of gooey gunky crap left on the bottom of the jar that wouldn't dissolve, i filtered the shellite into a new jar.
Now I'm evaporating it down then sticking it in the freezer for a few days.

Hi there!

Have you read this thread? --->>> IMPORTANT: spice color purity fallacy AKA is your dmt ok to smoke ?

The exception: green/blue spice is a no-no in all occasions, forget that! your solvent is bunk, either throw your stuff away and start new (safer) or recrystalize it at least 3 times with clean solvent + washing with sodium carb, or ideally re-a/b, and then recrystallize.

And it becomes even harder to tell what the content is by color if you are not extracting from mimosa but from a plant such as acacia or another plant with possible different alkaloid content (phalaris, desmanthus, etc etc, because appart from all of what was mentioned above, you could also have a mixture of other alkaloids which might be beneficial like other active tryptamines or synergistic beta carbolines, or might be unwanted (like the potentially toxic gramine and related analogues in phalaris)

It is my understanding that green spice = unsafe to smoalk.

Yeah I've read that.
It's been discarded now anyway, was just a experiment Smile
