Through links from these articles, I found a petition to over turn the "Rave Act". Which is the law that causes a lot of these issue.

The RAVE Act expanded earlier “crack house” laws to include commercial venues, allowing business owners to be prosecuted if they “maintain a drug-involved premises.”

When originally passed, the Act gave law enforcement officials greater power to shut down underground dance parties when promoters were knowingly and intentionally encouraging the use of illicit drugs. However, its current language has created a more dangerous situation today by discouraging legitimate EDM concert and festival organizers from enacting common sense safety measures to protect their patrons.

Looks like they still need a lot of signatures.
Here's the Rave Act petition Link if anyone wants to sign it.

The RAVE act is a travesty and most assuredly should be repealed. However it's never been put into use for this type of situation, all this fear about allowing harm reduction orgs to operate at events is based solely on what-if scenarios.

From the DanceSafe realease:
Quote:
I understand the concern on behalf of the producers about the perception that they are ‘allowing’ or ‘encouraging’ drug use at their events. That being said, simply recognizing some inevitable use at an event isn’t encouragement, and I think that there is a place for real solutions. These solutions can replace the current model we’re using, a model that is actively harming a community that I’m a part of. Under our present laws, a venue or company faces some very real risks if the government decides that their event is “maintaining a drug-involved premise.” But– to the best of my knowledge, the presence of harm reduction services has never been used as a part of any RAVE Act prosecution (although the law should still be changed). The fear that these services would be grounds for a RAVE Act prosecution are theoretical, and the result of a prosecution on such a shaky basis is far from clear, but the injuries and deaths caused by these fears are not theoretical. These injuries and deaths are real, and they are happening far too often.

I suspect that some of these larger festivals(like Electric Forest) have some investors interested, and that part of the deal is people like dancesafe are not welcome to come along for the ride..

That is just a theory though.
Long live the unwoke.
