Greetings everyone, thought I'd share one of my more memorable DMT trips from a while back.
I'd recently relocated and hadn't built up many friends yet. I knew about an illegal warehouse party in downtown Oakland and wanted to go, but not by myself. As luck would have it, there was a post on Craigslist from a guy interested in the same show and looking for company. He picked me up and we split some pressies (ecstacy) on the way. It was cool, I had fun, afterwards we went back to my place to hang out and smoke some DMT.
In my apartment was a projector which projected a roughly a 11' (yes, feet, diagonally) HD image onto the wall about five feet in front of the couch. I hooked it up to my laptop, played some music, then put on some
Electric Sheep visuals with a little
Microsoft Dancer dude on top (links are just examples). This created an entire wall of trippy visuals with a small person doing dance moves floating in the middle of visuals.
We each smoked DMT a few times and he decided to head to bed in my roommates bed, who was out of town. I stayed on the couch taking DMT rips and watching the visuals on the wall. Now, I'd smoked DMT hundreds of times, but not often did I mix it with other drugs. I hadn't taken a ton of ecstacy that evening, but I definitely felt it. Not sure how many times I smoked that night, a dozen at least probably, and I was starting to go deeper and deeper. DMT typically leaves me with a very relaxed, comfortable, glowing feeling, but the ecstacy was having noticeable affects, enhancing both the intensity and the pleasant warm feelings.
For the most part my DMT experiences are so outright weird, abstract, geometric, alien that they are nearly impossible to describe or even remember (like a fading dream). Breakthroughs often land me in unusual places of super weirdness, surrounded by morphing patterns (perhaps technologies), oddly shaped structures, with passive and possibly indifferent entities. This time was very different, the only time I've experienced anything like it. What followed was easiest one of my most memorable and unusual (in comparison to other DMT trips) experiences.
I took a big rip. I generally always keep my eyes closed during peak DMT experiences, not sure this time if I started with my eyes closed or not. Either way, I found myself watching the wall of visuals in front of me with the tiny dancer dancing away in the middle as the DMT hit me. Quickly things started to change. The music engulfed me, becoming part of me, coming from inside me, and the dancer on the screen moved out of the screen and into the room, floating in front of me. The dancer then multiplied, forming a circle around me of replicated dancers, all dancing in mid air. The music and feeling then changed dramatically. I had a very strong and distinct impression that I was being granted a very unique and special experience from some consciousness who had chosen to gift me with this encounter. The dancers sprouted many arms and all turned into what I'd later identify as Kali, the Hindu goddess of empowerment, death, and time. They performed elaborate dances, interacting with each other, merging in and out, altering the music as they danced.
I felt completely coherent, thinking clearly, absolutely amazed at this show which I was experiencing. No geometric patterns, no alien words. It felt very spiritual, very personal, incredibly powerful. I recognized this to be a significant life event and something which was unlikely to be experienced again.. something I was incredibly fortunate to have been blessed with experiencing. This continued for what seemed like several minutes.
Anyway, that's it. Super memorable, great experience which I feel lucky to have encountered.
