Holy cow, thisstory was in my 'psilocybin' g-alert today, i guess a couple girls took it upon themselves to tell it like it is(nt) I really kind of wish i could see the actual posterboard presentation:

Grade 9 students Payton Oberg and Krista Smith share information with fellow students about the harmful effects of psilocybin, or “magic mushrooms”, at the Drug and Alcohol Awareness Fair on Thursday at the Weyburn Junior High. There were a wide variety of information and interactive games at the booths set up around the school gym, with students perusing them in the afternoon and parents and the public in the evening, hosted by the School Community Council.

Lol, can see the poster in the link but not the writing......
"symptoms include;
-Long term anti-depressant effects.
-increase synapses connection and growth.
-anew deeper understanding of yourself and everything.
-and insights into the collective conscience.
-sacred geometry and pretty colors.
Growing mushrooms would be a cool science fair project!

Well, at least they have a pretty decent excuse-they are in 9th grade. What excuse do all of these fully grown adults have, that still react hysterically when someone posits the idea that maybe people should be allowed to explore psilocybin?

A good point...but you're also forgetting that these 9th graders are eventually going to become fully grown adults that react with hysteria.

Seems like something that needs to be nipped in the bud, so to speak.

Haha, this reminds me of something that happened in my high school a few years ago. Some club had a "dangers of marijuana" booth set up where they handed out all sorts of literature about how marijuana destroys lives. They even had little games set up for kids to earn points, for which they could redeem prizes with little anti-weed slogans.

Of course I went to an extremely liberal, high school where about 80% of the upperclassmen got high regularly, so a ton of kids surrounded the booth and ridiculed those running it. I just snapped a picture for kicks. I attached a cropped version to this post.

I find things like this rather sad, but the mass doubt among my former peers was inspiring.

At least they didn't do a bad job on the art work. I actually know they area they are from and its super rural, and big time behind the times, almost as if its stuck in a -10 year time bubble.
