I just took a prebreakthrough hit last night, I didn't have the intention of going through all the way, just wanted to feel the tryptamine energy in my mind. This particular hit left me feeling the entire time like i was a hit away from breakingthrough, i felt like something was trying to pull me in but it wasn't strong enough to do it.

One thing that struck me however, was how uncomfortable physically this was. I've had a few low breakthrough trips before, and from what i can remember this was far more uncomfortable than those times before i went through.

There was just a lot of tension in my body and neck, breathing was intense, i felt very hot. I understand when you breakthrough you just stop feeling your body but it makes me nervous. I haven't gone through he veil in 3 years and would like to return. This bodyload made me just want to stop.

My question for you guys is, how bad is your prebreakthrough bodyload? Does a strong negative body load ever follow you into the breakthrough, color, or affect it?

Yup, pre breakthrough doses are almost always uncomfortable to me.. like I'm here physically but parts of my consciousness are stringing off in other dimensions and it's just freaky to experience being a part of both at once.

Like I said, not always, but mostly.

The experience varies so much from one to the next. For me when I smoked changa there's always an intense bodyload that follows into the experience; but then again, for me, the whole entire experience (auditory, visual, physical) is all one force that's moving through me; it's all tied together. But yeah, there's always an intense bodyload at some point of the experience.

Alot of the time, there's this initial hump to get over in terms of the rising pressure/feeling that comes over me. Sometimes this only leads into breakthrough then subsides, other times it continually rises/deepens throughout the experience, not really subsiding til near the end.

Sometimes it's uncomfortable, sometimes not, but typically whatever is happening is what was needed. Anymore, I welcome it.

Yeah sub-breakthrough doses can be very discombobulating and edgy, I get a pressure that builds in my forehead and face and sometimes I start to think no no no Im not ready this is too uncomfortable.
Its important to remember what will happen to you physically, maybe write it down and read it beforehand so you dont get shocked by it.
Remember that its just a physical side effect and that it wont harm you its the body preparing itself for an intense experience, some people say harmalas will reduce the initial physical side effects and eliminate any mental shock.
Some anxiolytic like passiflora may help also, even a teaspoon in a tea beforehand will soften the launch, personally I wont take any tryptamine above low doses without passiflora I find its the perfect companion.

I love sub breakthrough Changa or DMT, just enough so your on the verge and it could go either way.
From time to time there is body load effects, like tingly lips and arms or a slight chest pressure but not often.
I think sub break through experiences can be appreciated more during the experience.

Yeah the first 2 levels can be somewhat uncomfortable for me. Levels 3-5 almost always result in a positive experience. I do agree though that for the most part a negative experience is given when its needed.
