Does anyone feel like the DEA has slowed down the rate with which they schedule new drugs? There are tons of new RCs on the market today that I would have expected would have been scheduled pretty much immediately, but apart from 25i and a few of it's analogues, there's just been radio silence. 4-AcO-DMT in particular seems like something I would have expected to get the ax very quickly, but there doesn't seem to have been any enforcement? Salvia divinorum has also managed to hang on for a remarkably long time. Am I just being overly optimistic, or do you think we're starting to see the slowing of the CSA? Blessings ~ND I'm pretty sure 4-Acetoxy-Diemethyltryptamine and 4-Acetoxy-Diethyltryptamine are both scheduled Tryptamines. Salvia has been scheduled for a while too where I'm from. Considering the first (4-AcO-DMT) is essentially a pro-drug for Psilocin. I would imagine if scrutinized it would fall under the 'or similar/like' categories that catch most synthesized compounds of that nature.

Neither is saliva. Individual states may have their own rules, but it still might be indicative of changing governmental policy. Blessings ~ND "There are many paths up the same mountain."

I thought all things listed in the notorious books we all know and love are scheduled

Good thing, otherwise everyone kissing would suddenly be considered drug dealers You know, the promise of kisses (and related behaviors that also often involve saliva) have made me do more dumb stuff than any psychedelic drug. Blessings ~ND "There are many paths up the same mountain."

Blessings ~ND Yeah, maybe they should schedule sex. Oh wait.. . As for the scheduling of analogues didn't the analogue act take care of any molecular composition that resembles in nature an existing mind altering chem ,or some absurdly overreaching legal act like that? The economy took care of that. Try proving any chemical with psychoactive properties is not going to be consumed for it's effects without having equipment to do research in your home or the money for a good lawyer. The government hates grey areas & 'not for human consumption' labels only protect those with the correct tools to preform research and/or a pricey lawyer. Without those, a stoner with powder, pellets, or tabs will more than likely be prosecuted for drug posession regardless of substance while the place they bought will be legally protected.

Blessings ~ND Hormones are the real enemy here... The government is regulating all the wrong drugs. Per usual. ...I'd think that the analogues rule would consider most of the available RC's guilty by association.

One that I am really surprised hasn't been axed yet is methoxetamine! That one has been very popular in the market for the last 5 years or so. There are a lot of really awesome unscheduled tryptamines that have been around for much longer than that even, but haven't really blown up in the market. It seems to me that the DEA is more concerned with the chems that hit the market and immediately start hurting people, for example synthetic cannabinoids and the NBOME series. Some of the other novel compounds like so many of the tryptamines that have been around longer have probably sent a lot fewer people to the hospital. The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. The others--the living--are those who pushed their control as far as they felt they could handle it, and then pulled back, or slowed down, or did whatever they had to when it came time to choose between now and later - HST

Some of the other novel compounds like so many of the tryptamines that have been around longer have probably sent a lot fewer people to the hospital. Novel tryptamines & mxe have the benefit of not being openly sold to highschool students at gas stations. You can bet they'd be scheduled in a second if that happened, synthetic cannibinoids were not my cup of tea, but i can't help but think the fact dumb kids were able to get ahold of it so easily played a huge role in their quick scheduling. Research chemicals do not belong in the hands of people who do not know or care how to safely dose them in a good enviornment, the same way dmt has no place being used by high school students. Keeping potent drugs like this in the hands of compotent individuals is the key to keeping them around. If vendors cared about whether or not the individuals they sold to were able to safely use these compounds & not worried about the huge stacks of cash they can rake in while skirting the law, there would undoubtably be much less media attention & trouble occuring.
