I'll check it out for sure, thanks.

Yo I make psychedelic Hip-Hop give it a listen:

https://soundcloud.com/noah-cohen-1

I do a lot of different types of music, all produced on garageband, however. So keep that in mind when judging its quality, I was just workin' with what I got.

Here are a couple of my trippy trippy songs. but almost every song I make is influenced by my journeys.

https://soundcloud.com/noah-cohen-1/zoomin

https://soundcloud.com/noah-cohen-1/done-munchd

https://soundcloud.com/noah-cohen-1/driftr

I know its a lot, but I made them all and worked hard. If you have time to give me a listen, I'd REALLY value the opinions of you experienced folk.
We are surprisingly similar.

I gave that album a listen, thanks for the recommendation, that's on par with what I think psychedelic hip-hop is, though one of the guys MC'n has this high pitched mono-tone voice that takes some getting used to, other than that I thought it was pretty cool, I know if I was a few years younger I would have probably been into it a lot more...

As I've grown old I've gotten into in instrumental kick, I do a good deal of "note-book chemistry" work and will always have headphones on while I study,I've found music with vocals becomes distracting, I really like the jazz music of Charles mingus, strange fact about mingus, when he got married, he had Allen Ginsburg head the ceremony, so mingus had to have been exposed to LSD, at least later in his life anyway. I'm sure that even back in the 1930s the jazz musicians smoked marijuana, and marijuana goes great with old school jazz. I listen to a lot a instrumental jam, classical, bluegrass, ambient and shpongle, and always with marijuana and always through headphones, I do this notebook work every where, so it's important that I'm able to block out the outside world, I have actually gotten to the point where I've been fed up with music, it's the most exploited art form in existence, 95% of music is not even art it's a product meant to be sold, and there's always some nonsense pseudo-culture that they try to sell with it, where your expected to dress and speak a certain way and dislike other music artists that don't fit in with what ever marketed culture you have bought into...I'm too old, but I do appreciate art and there is that 5% of music out there that is real art. (There's always classical, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, etc... This stuff is great to study to and as a musician I appreciate the intricacies involved in the structure of the music...architecture, specifically of these old gothic cathedrals, looks like frozen classical music to me...)

Alright, I'm wondering to far off topic...

As for the new posts by philosopher, I'll be sure to give your music a listen.

Some for the germans on here. I know...it's old and probably known. But if you usually aren't into Hip Hop and don't know them...give 'em a try. You might be suprised. I've never ever again heard hip-hop lyrics so deep and meaningful like those made by Ruhrpott AG, except...maybe...those by Käptn Peng. If you like them, be sure to check their albums "Pottential" und "Unter Tage".

RAG - Westwind [1998]

RAG - Kreuzwortfeuer [1998]

RAG - ohne gewähr [1998]

__________

Also...much more recent:

Käptn Peng und die Tentakel von Delphi - Sockosophie

shaban & Käptn Peng - werbistich !

Everything is always okay in the end, if it's not, then it's not the end.
