I had told my parents that I was seeing wrong people
I was just a little guy then, in between 7 and 10
"What do you mean?" Asked my Mom
"You're too old for imaginary friends" Said my Dad
They are real I said, real but wrong
[size=8][size=6][color=white][size=4]I had to see a doctor and talk to her,
"To sort out my issues" Mom said
To get wrong thinking
Out of my head, then talk
Good sense into it instead
Mom got me to a doctor, and the doctor said:
"Are the people wrong, because they hurt you, wrong to make love hate?"
She looked at me grinning, prepared to wait
I said to her simply, so she could relate:
"These people are wrong
'Cause they only survive
In the corners of your eyes
They're elves and faeries
They're things in disguise"
The doctor took notes, and the doctor said:
"Do they tell you to hurt yourself, yell things obscene, point out
you're naughty; a bad human being?
Do they make you keep secrets and nip at your ears do they add up, then add to, the sum of your fears?"
I shook my head no. No, no, no and no
"I think we're wrong to them also"
The doctor kissed my eyes and said
"Nothing exists outside of our heads"
