The latest JRE podcast, rogan has brian cox (which many of you probably know who he is), an english physicist, who works through CERN.

Really great talk; I highly enjoyed it.

Brian cox is a gifted communicator, amongst his other talents.

Thanks for this, i've always wanted to ask Brian if he's ever considered trying a psychedelic as an alternative way of understanding the universe, i really do hope joe asks him

Thanks for sharing, really was worth watching/listening.

Love how cox can explain for someone like myself, who doesn't know as much about the current state of the research they are doing for getting better understanding and facts of the big bang, black holes and other such interesting science.

I too really was hoping too that joe would ask him about psychedelics, none the less, they talked about the ancient egypt abit and ethiopa people so that was kind of cool to hear those talks.

He tried, in a polite manner: Rogan told Cox the Stoned Ape Theory, how we may have evolved because apes ate mushrooms, but Cox didn't comment at all about the mushrooms, but instead went on to talk about other aspects of the theory, mainly nutrition, I believe. So, I think Rogan decided at that point that Cox wasn't receptive to the plant teachers and moved on. Just my deductions.
Fear, belief, love phenomena that determined the course of our lives. These forces begin long before we are born and continue after we perish. We cross and recross our old paths like figure skaters; our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb, we are bound to others. Past and present. And by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future.

Awesome. Kinda stopped watching jre for a minute as the guests weren't of my interest. Glad to know this was a good one. Thanks for posting this. Will watch later tonight.
That moment when you wonder if this time you went too far....

Obviously everything discussed here is the fictional accounts of someone with an out there imagination. I mean really could any of these tales be real?

Yeah and I think Cox presented a more plausible explanation.
I think multiverse theory is very psychedelic, theres not many things more psychedelic than a fractal in my opinion which is essentially the underlying pattern of the development of multiverses.
Rogan seems to have a lot of half cooked ideas on many things that have little to no evidence backed up by hard data however hes still a good entertaining presenter and I enjoyed this episode of the show immensely I couldve listened to them for another hour they had a good rapport once the show had got going.

That was a great discussion. It's great how Brian Cox allows the complex dynamics of the universe to be understood by less intelligent people like myself Smile

One of the better podcasts from Joe, from the aerodynamics of Kim Kardashian's ass to the origins of the known universe.

I watched for 1hour and 40 minutes until now, will watch the rest in the morning, but was wondering if Joe would ask him about consciousness not being emergent to human beings but being something inherent to the universe?

If he doesn't I'd be disappointed...

But great podcast indeed, just didn't like the part where Joe was talking about dumb people, no need for that in my opinion. Lots of other interesting things to talk about.
