I've been eating upwards of 200mg freebased rue alkaloids per day for the past couple of months. Since I spend most of my day out of the house in the big bad world, I got to thinking that if something happened to me (someone drops a piano on my head, tricks me into running off a cliff, etc) there's a chance I wouldn't be able to inform any medical personnel who might be treating me that there is a monoamine oxidase inhibitor in my system. I don't know enough about medicine to be able to think of some situation in which this information might make a difference in the way a patient is dealt with, but given the way an MAOI affects drug metabolism I think such situations probably exist and better safe than sorry right?

So I got this bracelet. I did a little bit of research and EMTs and such are trained to check for these things. I know there are other people on here who have taken/currently take MAOIs daily and for those people this or something similar might not be the worst idea in the world. Even if you just drink a brew on occasion, it still can't hurt.

Wow, that's a really good idea! How did you get the bracelet made?

I asume you have a good reason for this.. but why are you taking all this rue ..[everyday?].. for two months straight?

Is there a special reason for this?...

just curious..

Not really the point of the thread but it helps me with depression, severe ADHD, and anxiety (which i think in my case at least are all the same thing) much more effectively than any drug I have been prescribed by a psychiatrist. Not to mention that it controls my urges toward opiates and booze. Taken in doses of ~ 50 mg 4-7 times throughout the day I am never overwhelmed although if I take more than 130 mg at one time I will start to feel very high. I take one day breaks every week or so.

As a kid I had a medical issue that required me to wear a medic alert tag... so I just googled medic alert and I think it's the first thing that came up.

There is ample research suggesting that the use of MAOIs can lessen drug cravings and can help reduce risk taking behaviour and have possible antipsychotic properties. I think harmalas have a huge untapped medicinal potential and I'm trying to find clinical trials discussing harmalas... as of yet they are far and few between. I applaud your responsible decision regarding your MAOI use and hope that your experience with harmalas has been a positive one.

stands the trap that I must run into." "You only need to change your direction," said
