I'm surprised that this work by Etheogen Review has not been mentioned yet as it is a great read about salvia for those that wish to know more about the experience and it's history in modern culture. It also covers extraction and cultivation of this wonderful plant. It is currently out of print but can be downloaded for free from the Etheogen review website:
