A friend of mine just finished combining all his ingredients for changa. It's supposed to be a 1:1 ratio but I can't see how. He made an enhanced caapi 10X extract by boiling down 10 grams of caapi leaf, drying it out, powdering it up and mixing it with 1 fresh gram of died leaf with IPA. At this time he also added 1 gram of spice and mixed. The spice was in tincture form following Q2121's tek. I have a few questions..

When he boiled down the caapi, dis guarded the leaves, and dried it out, he ended up with 2.3 grams of Harmala.. that combined with 1 gram of caapi leaf and 1 gram of spice should weight 4.3 grams... I know this ha been asked several times but I still can't wrap my head around how it can be a 1:1 ratio this way... I know it's 1 gram of leaf that's been infused to 10x that now weights 3.2 grams but it seems like such a heavy amount of end product? I see people post that they only need 30-60mg of changa to BT... is this possible??

I guess my first question is did he do this right?

Also, when he first put his concoction in a shot glass it looked like a gram of leaf submerged in molasses.. it's been 5 days now and it's drying up to a leaf but still verrrryyy sticky and heavy.. the changa concoction has water, vinegar and IPA, he's a little worried that it's not going to dry.. should he put it in an open oven @ 200F for a few hours or just give it time? He would have tried this a few days ago but is afraid of heating up IPA... He thinks the IPA has evaporated and he's dealing with mostly water and a low amount a vinegar but not sure. any advise?

1:1 ratio means 1 gram of capi infused leaf to 1 gram dmt. So depending on how much harmalas you want to infuse you'd only need ~200mg harmalas and ~800mg capi leaf for instance and then 1000mg DMT.
Why is there water and vinegar in the changa? You should have dried the dmt, and then disolved it into IPA + harmala infused leaf. I wouldn't put it in the oven, you can try redisolving it into a stronger solvent (IPA might work but Im sure someone with more knowledge will be able to weight it), separate it from the water/vinegar, and then evaporate off the solvent. Once you have a powder lay it onto the same or new leaf.

Edit: you wouldn't even need to separate it after redisolving (would be very hard anyways), simply boil it off/let it evaporate. IPA is VERY FLAMMABLE so use care! Spread the solution out in a thin layer over a plate or something, you can speed it up with a fan (though keep in mind sparks) keep the area well ventilated etc. I don't know how long it would take but it will probably be faster than tied up in the plant matter.

This has been discused here too.

Maybe you'd get your thorough answer on the weight of nX caapi here.

To aid in drying, after the liquids have evaporated make sure to spread the herbs on a flat dish to create as much surface area as possible.

Even is sticky now, given enough time it should dry up well.
