I was speaking to a good friend (who is very well versed in DMT journeying) about an idea I had. I was wondering what would happen if you took a trip in total darkness with your eyes open. Would you see the same things that you see behind closed eyelids or would the visions somehow be different? I was determined to find out! Big grin

I loaded an unknown amount of DMT into my GVG and took a total of 4 tokes. I was laying on my sofa under a thick quilt. As soon as I heard that familiar "sound" that happens as my consciousness begins to shift, I pulled the quilt over my head completely to eliminate any outside light. My eyes were closed initially and then I opened them. Holy Crap!!! I was seeing the exact same thing in the darkness of the quilt. I started rapidly blinking my eyes but it was literally as if I had NO EYELIDS. The vision didn't jump, shift or alter in ANY shape, form or fashion. With my eyes opened, it was as if the DMT dimension somehow had more "depth" to it. It truly felt like I was nothing more than PURE CONSCIOUSNESS.

Of course I can't describe what I saw...I certainly wish I could. Once I was past the hyperdimensional grid stage I saw wonderment beyond belief. Normally, I see the DMT world folding and unfolding into itself revealing "things". This time it seemed to be showing me more "solid" things. I have many DMT trips under my belt so normally I can pay attention. This time I gave in to astonishment.

I'm going to try this experiment again while sitting in the darkness of my walk-in closet. It will be totally awesome to be engulfed in the DMT dimension. I can't wait!!!

Thank you for that report. I have also found that in deep experiences a similar thing happens where there becomes absolutely no difference between having my eyes open and keeping them closed--it's all the same in the peak.

I'm curious about your smoking tek. Do you normally load your doses in such a way? It's hard to know what you took since you say it was four tokes. I've never taken a dose in more than one toke on the GVG, but figure someone could reasonably take 100mg in a single toke with practice. Do you have a rough idea of dosage?

Awesome report!

But SciMethod...100mg. Are you mad? Or was that a typo lol

eyes closed = eyes open = PROPA.

i like total darkness, but i dont like sitting in cupboardsLaughing, i bought a piece of blackout fabric and sewed some velcro to the back and then attached it to my window frame, this gives me total darkness while lying in bed. best £6 i ever spent.

good luck on your next forayThumbs up .

in comparison...
With salvia extracts.. smoking a tiny pinch of 10x 20x 40x or higher bombards me with open eye visuals almost imeadiatly..

Even after a couple quick puffs of good 7x visual pictalization starts almost imeadiatly as i see objects flying towards me in a spinning vortex of visuals...

I still like DMT better.. but there is an over welming power diference between the two drugs...

As far as the amount I loaded into the GVG, I would estimate it to be somewhere in the 30mg - 50mg range. My first two tokes weren't very big but I went long and hard on the last two. There have been times when it's only taken 2 tokes to get me there, but usually 3 good ones does the trick for me.

I am also very well versed with salvia but for some reason I'm afraid to try it in total darkness. Maybe I'll man up one day. Something about smoking salvia in the dark scares the crap out of me! Shocked I would love to read some trip reports regarding this particular topic.

That's not a typo. I've done up to 70mg in a single toke on the GVG and have plans for a 100mg dose within the coming months. I smoke a lot of weed, so my lungs are strong. I have found that my tolerance to nn-DMT is higher than most users. I normally breakthrough at around 40-50mg, but I've had up to 60mg that didn't fully get me "through."

I used to use salvia a lot (years and years ago before I started exploring more reasonable psychedelics) and did a few dark trips, but didn't notice a big difference. My preference was low light but not dark and no noise. So minimal input, but not no input.

As for DMT trips, I find that when I take low light or dark journeys, it's harder and I have trouble coming back to reality as easily. In other words, when I begin coming down, I will open my eyes, and if it's dark, I won't be able to see "real reality" well enough to differentiate between what is reality and what is the trip. So the trip lasts longer and tends to be more intense.

I'll be doing my first full-dark nn-DMT trip in the coming days and will write a report.
