This isn't the most scientifically ground-breaking piece of footage on the web, but I still thought it was fun. Any chemists who have ever accidentally allowed sodium samples to get wet might appreciate it (as well as any pyromaniacs here on The Nexus.
After the WWII, apparently the government had a LOT of sodium lying around that was no longer useful, and the stuff was so dangerous no carrier was willing to ship it from it's storage space to potential buyers, so they dropped it in a frozen lake.
