Hey Nexus,
Had my first dose of spice last night extracted through Cybs' Hybrid ATB 'Salt" Tek (Thanks Cyb)
A little background for context:
Dose: 10mg (measured on a scale that can measure to the thousandth)
Method: Vapor Genie with the dose placed on top of a light bed of mint leaves (have a domeless quartz nail that I will try when I have the right place)
Breakthrough: No, but definitely wasn't aware for a couple minutes.
Total time of visuals: 3:30 (min:sec & measured by the sitter)
Mental State Pre-Trip: Ready to try it, but a little pre-trip anxiety.
Mental State Post-Trip: A little blown back, but from what I understand light trips tend to be uncomfortable.
I decided to use my VG for my first trip and do it in my room on my bed. I turned all my lights off except for a candle to cover up whatever smell the spice may put off as well as my rock salt lamp as the light is gentle. I played a video of waves on a beach for the sound and turned the screen off so it wouldn't interfere.
I started my first hit, long and slowly inhaling letting the heat build (held it as long as I could and exhaled). I started my second pull and felt the spice vapor start to flow (very rich). I kept inhaling until I noticed the continents on a map mounted to my wall slowly begin to shake.
I handed my sitter the VG, lighter, and my glasses before the trip really took hold. I looked back to the map and it was as if everything in my field of vision took a snapshot and then that image became 8-bit (imagine minecraft) and very colorful. Then the squares of the image individually divided to four and each of those divided into four (on and on).
That's when it gets fuzzy because there was this ringing and static that started when the snapshot happened. Here's my theory. The image becomes distorted into pixels. I think of this like sound waves on a synthesizer. You can change the wave to be longer or shorter, smooth or edgy. Now relate what happened with the snapshot to the sound from the video I was playing. When the image became 8-bit so did the sound from the video. It became edgy like what one could do with a sound wave on a synth. It's hard to explain, but I'm hoping one of you guys can understand what I'm saying.
The peak was short-lived and I slowly started to come back, but I remember at that peak that it felt like wheels in my mind or cognition were turning. Things were making sense, but they were flowing into each other. It was as if I had been there before and that moment was the end of another trip and I was remembering it right at that moment. That scared the hell out of me because I felt like reality was shattered or the reality that I'm in isn't the reality. It's weird because I have some extensive experience with psychedelics (chemical and plant/fungus based), stimulants, etc. and I've thought about that idea before. Like what if when we're dreaming that's when we're actually awake and when we're awake that's when we're actually dreaming.
Just thinking about that moment is stretching my mind a little bit, but damn!
Sorry for the long post, but I hope you enjoyed it
