So, I'm a person who, after having made it to a mature age , doesn't have a problem announcing my support for drug law reform, and cognitive liberty. As is being discussed in another thread atm, policy is changing due to a sea change in attitude, at least here in America. This suggestion will more than likely be shot down for various reasons, but i was thinking about ways to help support the efforts of organizations like MAPS, Drug Policy Alliance, et al, especially by those of us without lots of money to make significant donations with. How about using the already existent CEL, or coming up with something similar, and producing T shirts with graphics by artistic members and sell them on a seperate site ? Profits could be donated on revolving basis to one of several organizations, maybe decided upon by vote. I have complained here about not being in touch with any kind of local community of like minds. Having an item like this would be a good ice breaker to engage people in conversation about this subject. Idk,it's early in the AM,still working on my second cup, and this may be a really dumb idea. But what the hey, puttin it out there for your consideration. Btw,if it does gain support, i have connections in screen printing. This is inspiring idea! i don't know anyone either, and it could bring people together, plus maybe make some $$$ on the side. Silk screen is best since you can make multiples. Maybe make designs that are incognito, like only those in the know would recognize them. Such as the DMT molecule of course is a given. Maybe elves or a chrystalis or something. Another fabric printing process called 'cyanotype' is pretty simple, and pretty looking. New_Cyanotype_Process *ALL WAYS WITH LOVE

This idea has been in the pipeline for at least a year now, but not much has come of it so far. I think there were a few test prints, and also the official hyperspace t-shirt..i forgot its name. So it seems this project is up for grabs

Hey, well, that's encouraging. I have tons, literally decades, experience screen printing and am very adept at designing for it. Any one wanting to get involved who has technical questions can probably be answered here . I'll have to come up with some sketches and post them here as well. Like i mentioned, i have some contacts in the industry here as well as lines to blank distributors, so could probably work out a good deal on printing. If this takes off, a good part of the discussion will involve money, where it goes etc. If one of my designs is used, my idea is for all profit to go to non profit organizations that are helping the cause and need funding, and 'rotate' them. As far as funding, wellll, I have none so that will be a sticking point. Also, is the Coalition for Entheogenic Liberty name okay to use? The ideas floating around my skull deal with lettering around this name. This thread is open to suggestions, picture posts etc. Thanks! I can't offer much help into printing the actual shirts, but i do love the idea. I'd say go for high quality prints though. I see alot of shirts with vinyl graphics thay fade & crack over time. A nice hyperspace t-shirt with the graphic actually imprinted or dyed into the fabric of the shirt rather than placed ontop would be amazing & i'd buy up different designs like theres no tomorrow

I think it is more meaningful when you do it 'in code'. For instance, Pink Floyd never said 'this is from and for LSD users', but when you're up there, it's pretty clear that's the case. Same things with lots of art. Just coming out and saying it all is kind of dull, unless you've got a clear political intent.
Obviously I view shirts as an art space.

Agreed, rrryan. That's why i got into screen printing, because I've always loved rock art, and t shirt graphics. Concombres, the process your thinking of is heat transfer, which has actually progressed quite a bit from the old stores in the malls of the 1970s. (Yeah yeah, I'm old) Still, even with plastisol transfers these days, the archival quality is non existent. That's really for cheap company shirts, family reunion/ephemeral event shirts that aren't meant to last a long time. Here's a quick sketch i did last night, using a photo app on my Android, (something that has become a valuable tool to aid in rendering) this is something I've been tossing around since my DMT initiation, originally as an embroidered patch. (Which is something else I'd like to do, just not sure of the production cost vs. liquidity of them ) It combines R. Griffin's flying eye with seraphim imagery, communicating the spiritual nature of psychedelics in a irreverent way. Of course, it's veryrough, and i need to work up some lettering but it's a start. P.S. Does anyone have kickstarter experience? Could be a funding route. I've been thinking about this idea quite a bit. I think this could be something, perhaps put a more tangible face to the work the nexus does. Forgive me if I'm overstepping bounds, I'm not trying to poach anyone's gig here. I've been working up what I'm calling the seraph design, a rough initial sketch of which i posted above. But that could all change, far more than putting a design of mine on it is far less important to me than doing some good with whatever is used. Raising money for organisations that are performing the research, lobbying, who are in the trenches so to speak, is the goal here. I'm thinking rotating designs, by different artists, on a semi monthly basis. Folks from here working as professional artists, people here who aren't, who'd like to see their work out there, and if we take off and can garner the respect and attention of supporters like Alex Grey, or Luke Brown to reproduce their work. And the non profits to whom proceeds are directed changes as well. Or , shirts can be printed to help find specific things, "the phase II clinical MDMA ttrial limited edition **** **** T-shirt !". So, i need help and input. I would very much like this to develop into something. I have time to devote. I mentioned contacts for the printing, but that's secondary to the primaryaspect of figuring out what needs to be printed. Does anyone think this is worthwhile or am i one too many pints into happyville? Sine experientia nihil sufficienter sciri potest -Roger Bacon *γνῶθι σεαυτόν*
