My last torch lighter was a p.o.s. It just died on me.
I'd like to get a nicer one. I have my eye on the arc tabletop, but the only places i can find that find them are in the uk, which means long shipping time.
Has anyone come across any nice alternatives in the u.s.?
I don't mind dropping $50-$75 on a nice torch that will last me a long time Big grin

Someone on the forums here recommended I go to home depot and get a burnzomatic torch lighter. It's actually used for soldering metals, but works unbelievably well for the applications you may need them for. I use it for the GVG and I cannot picture a better tool. It is a bit large though; that's my only complaint. Not so big that it isn't worth while, but a bit bigger than something you'll drop in your pocket. They cost about 25$ if I recall.
All of my posts are entirely fictional. I am a writer, and as a means to research the life of a fictional character that I'm writing about, I post on the Nexus to get into character. In real life I have no interest or interaction with mind-altering substances.

Yep Smile

I dont travel with it much so its not an issue that its not pocket sized for me. If i do travel it goes in my backpack. It has worked flawlessly for over 2 years i think.

OP, there are many threads on this topic.

no need for me to stick it in my pocket & travel with it so the size is not a problem.
