There is a vendor that advertises openly on facebook. It's horrid. Theres people commenting openly asking & talking about extracting & using acrb despite the vendor trying to sate it's 'not for human consumption'

I was very upset when i saw it.

Maybe you should be more concerned *why* that ad appears on your FB feed.

It's not random. Protip: Don't mix FB and illegal activities.

Yeah that's the scary thing, I feel like if I think about something hard enough an ad will pop up for that very specific thing. This was due to a friend liking a page and it showing up that way. Fortunately I rarely buy items offline, but I guess researching something enough will bring the same results Confused le sigh....

or just stop using facebook all together. Have you seen the permissions the app wants? I'd rather not sign away my rights to privacy in order to be profiled to be bombarded with advertisement.
I'm willing to bet facebook would quickly cooperate with law enforcement & give up information on it's users if pressed.

You should never leave Facebook open and browse in other tabs. Also, if you have a smartphone, you probably shouldn't have Facebook on it.

When you hit "Agree" or simply just use the app, you are agreeing to their privacy policies and whatever other crazy liberties Facebook takes. They have access to your browsing on your computer or phone, and they will use this to advertise. Google does the same thing. You may have noticed if you search for a specific product, you will see related ads on random websites.

I wouldn't worry too much about seeing the legal plant on Facebook, especially with the trend toward drug legality. Most busts seem to be people who are blatantly ignorant with their extractions and stashes or whatever; this isn't a James Bond movie. And even with what concombres said, you may have noticed recently how Apple and Google have wanted to encrypt their phones, but the federal government lashed back at them. At least these corporations recognize the fact that people want to be protected, and are willing to try to implement it.

If you are really concerned, you should probably get off Facebook or at least use it minimally. Only search drug related things on Tor and/or with a VPN. Also you might want to keep closer track of your cookies to see how exactly websites are tracking you too.

Ghostery is a great addon for firefox and blocks most trackers. Implementing sandboxie allows you to delete anything that gets put on your pc from browsing with a single button click.

Good idea on the tabs I didn't think about that one. Fortunately for me I've don't have cell service atm so I've been off the smartphone facebook for a few months now, and when I start one up here so I think I'm going to avoid facebook all together on it. Also just had to recently restore my computer to the out of box state, so hopefully any attachments prior to 2 weeks ago should have disappeared with that...hopefully.

I'm not particularly worried for my well being or anything, just sort of bummed that something like that is being advertised and sold over facebook. I agree with the increasing trends towards legality that this really isn't that big a deal anymore, I just think it should be something that you have to search for not just thrown in you face with advertisement. But its just my opinion and perhaps that's just the way things of this nature will be as time goes on. I just hope the wrong people don't see it, see that its a source of a drug and potential profits if you catch my drift. Then again perhaps that is what the "wrong hands" need, a substance that will possibly enlighten them instead of bring darkness into their lives. I'm just thrown off by it is all, I didn't think someone would even have the guts to try that honestly.

I totally know what you mean, and I agree. I despise when such beautiful things are advertised, as this is an unfortunate venue concerned only with greedy, monetary gain. However, someone on the Nexus (I forgot whom) made a very good point; it would be much better to see a cheap television advertisement for DMT rather than a news report on an innocent person going to jail for the rest of his/her life for extraction and possession.

A similar thing is happening to marijuana: commercialization. It may be unfortunate, but just the fact that a bunch of people are "convinced" by ads to use a certain THC product doesn't really affect me when I vape. It might affect certain businesses and teens who see it as cool to do illegal things, but if I can get high with my friends in peace I'm more than happy. But I hate advertisements and even though I am aware of their tricks, I try to minimize exposure. Education and critical thinking skills, if taught, empower people to think for themselves, which I find to be the real issue here.

I installed Ghostery as well and must say it works great indeed. This with ad-block and you're good to go. Never heard of Sandboxie though, is that a plug in or something?

Its a small program. Basically if you run your browser in it you could goto every porn site and click on all the ads for fun, exit out and delete the contents of the sandbox with a click it would be as if you never even had that session of activity in your browser. Its like an etcha sketch for your computer. Except for programs.

I've thought about this as well. I suppose it's simply a matter of time and we'll find out, I'm meeting more and more people who have at least heard of DMT & Ayahuasca. Although I've still only met 2 others who have smoked it and the 3 I've shared the brew with.
