REPORT

Hi guys, my name is Pengu Smile and because this is my first proper post, I'll provide some background on myself and what I think has influenced my perception of the trip.

Due to finishing high-school, my mental state and curiosity has taken a huge beating within the last year. Real lyf is stressfool. I doubt that the two are directly related, but, my psychedelic substance exploration has been pretty dormant within the last year.
So after 2 years of being heavily interested with DMT (this includes performing my own extractions, lots of books and some other funky stuff..), I finally decided to take the plunge.
I guess I thought that heading into the unknown would bring a certain part of 'me' back to life. And it's hard to tell as it's only the day after (afterglow), but it seems it did Smile (not sure if i should be worrying about dependency here?)

So, I made sure my room was tidy, went for a bath and then meditated of a candle for 30 minutes.

(During 20 minutes of my trip I made sure that I had a trip sitter)

-Sitting on my bed crosslegged, I took a few light hits and started to hear a slight buzz in my right ear. Out of curiosity, I turned my head to see if it was a cause of the DMT or a bug. It kinda faded a little as I turned my head, but it didn't sound like anything I usually hear.
So I took a larger hit. Not realising how strong the vapour would be.. I coughed it up straight away. And began to question what was really happening in my sensory perception. As soon as I started to pay attention, everything was pretty surreal; soberity had a crystal-clear edge to it. and it immediately reminded me of the scenes in 'Enter the Void' (Awesome!).
I took 2 larger hits.. Trying to go slower, I still coughed up the first toke, but managed to hold the second one in for around 10 seconds.
I know that words kind of fail this experience, but everything started to vibrate. It was almost like my sensors where overexcited with an electric buzz.
I decided to lie down and take it all in. My awareness kind of faded and I started to get really anxious about these electrifying visuals. Instead of getting absorbed by the anxious visuals and taking a step into the DMT sensory experience, I decided to take a step back into the analytic mind to see how I could interpret the experience.

But doing the latter with DMT is something else. Because, it was like I was able to step into an awareness that was seeing my thoughts and sensory experience as two separate entities that were, almost, dancing with each other. (Isn't this close to legitimate mediation/concentration?)
Some of the wider known DMT experiences started to occur here, as I was aware of a 'room' my mind was situated in/playing with (on the physical plane it was the bedroom). As I closed my eyes, I saw a 'tunnel' of light that I started to move towards, but decided to watch the room as I progressed through the tunnel instead of focusing on the light - allowing me to see the workings of the mind(?).

While watching this play out I started thinking about what knowledge would be useful in daily life. I think I really realised the impact that the mind has on the perceived reality; through thoughts, beliefs, ideals, morals, models etc. I guess it's time to spiral out.

Anyway, please forgive the rough written report. Let me know your thoughts, views etcetc

Pengu.

Hi Pengu, great report!

The buzzing was definitely the DMT, as many will experience it intensely. It lasted a week after my last trip, and comes back when I meditate or read a book! I also like how you described your surroundings as vibrating. It almost, at least to my brain, makes it to where stuff makes more sense, and the senses become more keen as a result. Stuff manifests itself through frequencies afterall. I've experienced the conundrums of DMT's playfulness with your though processes too, and it's absolutely fascinating!

I hope your understanding and exploration coalesces into something awesome Thumbs up
