Hi All - first post here on the Nexus..

Over the past three months I have broken through about twenty times smoking amounts between 30 and 45mg. Before I get to my question I want to thank this community for being here, as what I have seen and experienced has given me a lot to think about and almost no one in my immediate circle of acquaintances with whom to discuss these experiences/revelations.

I've found that the smoked DMT experience, for me, functions much like that of a dream in that the vividness of the experience and the emotional impact are incredibly intense for the duration, however once I leave hyperspace it all evaporates into only a few fragmented memories of sights and emotional states.

Until recently, my attention in hyperspace has been very scattered, with my only real awareness being that I was witnessing some kind of other place/dimension. In my last few trips, however, I have found that I am becoming more aware of entities around me. For the sake of brevity I'll just say that they appear to resemble the descriptions of the Machine Elves.

It is in observing these entities that my experiences begin to break down. They move very rapidly - they self-transform, and they reach out and transform eachother. It almost looks like they are taunting me, but I'm not qualified to really say what it is they are doing. The experience at this point seems to speed up to a confusingly chaotic pace - almost like they get confused and start running into eachother and their transforming seems to speed up; it all looks like some absurdist theatrical production. The frantic nature of this experience is usually what breaks my concentration and I rapidly disengage from hyperspace.

So my question is; anyone had this kind of experience before? Especially the rapid speeding up of the experience - that's what seems to eject me from hyperspace. Part of me wonders if I need to gain a bit of familiarity with this particular scene and maybe it won't be so jarring in the future.

Thanks for any input

I have similar trips - vivid dreams that evaporate quickly. It's hard for me to stabilize the dreamstate while I'm there and I while I don't have elves speeding things up, my trips are fast paced visually, which makes it harder to focus and remember. Your description of an absurd theater resonates with my go-to description: an epileptic carnival trance or frenetic circus designed by van Gogh.

In terms of slowing things down, have you tried changa? For my own needs, it seems like changa could help keep hyperspace more stable ... what do you think? Could the elves be a hyperspace embodiment of neurochemical processes inside your brain breaking down and clearing out dmt?

I can relate quite well to this OP. It's hard to tell indeed what exactly it is that they are doing or to what ends. In terms of slowing things down, you might want to make sure you're not burning the DMT. Overheating it will tend to result in these crazy fast experiences, but on the other hand the "fast and erratic" is just another facade of the DMT experience, of which there are many.

As I read this I can almost feel the hyperness and craziness of those elves.... perhaps our presence in their dimension effects the way they act? I, personally have never tried DMT (but plan on it very soon) I have however achieved meditative states where I have met with other beings, and have experienced salvia. I also know that we are very powerful beings, and create our world, and other worlds!
Anyway, I look forward to meeting this crazy little elves.... Smile

I haven't tried Changa, but if it offers a slower transition process then I would be totally open to it. I read a comment here that mentioned the best way to remember your trip is to become intimately familiar with each step of the process of transition, which I've found to be almost impossible vaping DMT - I close my eyes and see the chrysanthemum start to appear, and the next thing I know I've actually been in hyperspace for some time, and am only just becoming aware of where my consciousness is.

Global - About getting the DMT too hot; I actually use an oil rig with a domeless nail to vape DMT - it does get quite hot, but its excellent for ensuring totally vaped and measured amounts. I didn't realize this could actually have an effect on your trip?? If you have any more details on this I would love to hear.

I've asked to be taken to where the elves live once. It was a cozy snow covered village full of log cabins. Inside the cabins are machines that keep the universe running. They told me that what we perceive as fast is normal for them and they think its silly how slowly we move in our realm. You have to remember that time as we know it doesn't exist in their realm, and since time can be measured by speed, our perception of their speed isn't quite correct. Sorry if that doesn't make sense

Makes perfect sense. Our perception of time, and how we move about in it, is exactly that - only ours. Imagine how the trees must see us - or anything that moves slower than we do.... I bet we seem pretty fast.

I'm positive that what I'm about to say is conjecture of the most irritating kind. But here goes.

This visual manifestation of the fall (or pull back) to reality preceded by an increased intensity of experience being described, could be an observation of the collapse into complexity from unity (bear with me).

From what I can comprehend of the shimmer @ the SHSB (space/hyperspace boundary);
1. It is fucking weird.
2. Mathematics breaks down (or at least our concept of it). As a process of steps attaining a result over time; this requires a discrete paradigm of mutually exclusive, but anthropologically dependant symbols that we manipulate in phase space. This is not observed in hyperspace (or not yet at least).
3. Complexity is a phenomenon of space, not hyperspace (I think). In order to observe complexity a fundamental requirement is information . Which leads one to think that (given a process of bifurcating instances ( in Boolean space)) the information splits into two when observed, causing the bifurcation to proceed; with one half continuing in space (as "normal"Pleased and the other half entering the shimmer at the SHSB via the observer. Now the reason why complexity is not an apparent phenomenon in hyperspace is because within its sphere of influence, all point lead to all other points effectively leaving us with that strange feeling of oneness (because there really is only one number in HS (the number one (hence no math))).
4. Therefore at the SHSB, complexity collapses into unity and vice versa.
5. And somehow we can be slightly objective in this phenomenon (a veritable blessing if you ask me).
6. Like I said. Fucking wierd.

Following this train of thought might lead one to think that the pull back to space from hyperspace, and the phenomenon described ( by some lovely people) shows a perceived speeding up as the complexity required ( a great deal I imagine) to manifest space is thrust into the faces of the weary traveller. Eventually leading to full spacial realisation ("reality"Pleased and probably some pent up frustration.
Inconsistency is in my nature.

there are different ways to control your journey in 'hyperspace'.. although arguably DMT is the most difficult to consciously navigate. One because it is such a virtual reality experience, and two because if you are using smokable DMT than there is so little time to get your bearings.
guess that's why we use MAO inhibitors.. to extend our visit.

What I do is prepare, purge my body of toxins.. sometimes fast. Then comes the conscious implanting of images during meditation. This is kind of like self programming. I can use the image of the moon for example to become lucid within the dream... if i have meditated on the image before hand and have formed the association that this symbols represents the trigger for becoming lucid. The subconscious mind can store away tools to help you during your trip if you know how to create them and access them.

Changa, and you won't look back Smile

Changa with a reasonable harmala ratio, will definitely slow the pace down. Your able to soak it all in a 'little' more than with just straight freebase. The harmalas also stretch the time window out initially, allowing you to take your sweet time, paddling out into the abyss, or if your feeling froggy then you can just take 1-2 massive tokes and be there; more flexibility overall versus freebase.

Look in harmala extraction via the Nexus-Wiki. Simple extraction overall. You can use either syrian rue seeds, or go the caapi vine route for your harmalas, which imo, caapi is wonderous medicine and my preferred choice when it comes to selecting harmalas for my changa.

And typically for my changa, for every 1g of DMT used I use 270-300mg extracted caapi vine harmalas. That gives the changa blend just enough activity without being immensely heavy physically, as some here do really harmala heavy blends. My advice would be to start lower on the harmalas in the range I stated, then down the line if you feel you'd want to add more, then you can.

If your not looking to do all the steps to make changa right now, then another really good changa-esque method is sublingual administration of about 30-40mg of extracted harmalas, under the tongue, held down until they dissolve (10-12 minutes); then smoke/vape said freebase after and you'll be good to go. And tbh, this method might be my favorite compared to smoking changa.

thanks all for your replies..

So Changa would slow down the onset and the overall speed of the experience.

My only concern is that, by lengthening the experience, if you were to have an uncomfortable or scary experience then you would sort of be stuck there for a longer period of time. Or does the slower onset help to ease the anxiety and decrease the likelihood of an uncomfortable experience?

i know exactly what you are talking about and have been looking for ages for someone who has , had similar experiences. I smoked changa and every time i have the same experience as you. i also see metal spiders building a matrix which is like the behind the scenes of the elves world, carnival people world too. Smile

There are several herbs you can blend in with changa that should increase your likelihood of retaining your experience. Lavender and african dream herb to name a two.

I've had what you describe many times . I've suspected
For a long time that it's some kind of triggered loop.
It like a recording and it's very old. Once it starts it hard to stop
It usually has to run it course. I used to think that was the penultimate experience but now after going deeper Ive found that fast weird loop thing to be only the surface and almost like some kind of scare tactic or test of some kind . Pay very close attention next time and you will see it just plays itself out .
One thing for sure it's always super weird .
The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.

I've never seen "elves" but I've been swamped by various visual phenomena on various psychedelics. At a certain point its just too overwhelming to focus on and you just gotta let it ride. Being that all of this phenomenon is a product of neurochemistry, there's probably ways to slow the experience down like Changa. I have had good experience with harmala heavy (5x-10x caapi leaf) Changa that made more sense.

Also, deep slow breathing should theoretically help slow stuff down.

This.

That's funny how so many folks recall them as frantic, manic and fast... They've been rather imposingly silent and still whenever they've crossed my path.

What a wit, though... And a cutting sense of humor. Ruthless, nearly... But considerate.
