Hi there! i'm planning my first extraction from AC in about a month using the following tek -

I don't want to rush in to things so spent some time today searching around my town to make sure I can easily obtain all the additional supplies I need.
I live in Canada so it is not as easy to get Naptha as it is in other place like the USA. I have done some online research into Naptha alternative's and found 2 product that i have seen recommended online. Ronsonol (lighter Fluid) and Varsol (paint thinner). Both are easily available to me. So my question is, for those with experience, would Ronsonol or Varsol do pretty much the same thing as Naptha? Is one better then the other?
I haven't checked in person yet but I'm sure a local hardware store carries 100% Lye (website said they do). If they dont have it I found a soap making website that has it.

As I said this is going to be my first extraction and want to follow the Tek as closely as possible. Thanks in advanced.

Ronsonol is Naptha so you're all good there if that's the route you choose to follow!

Same properties.
So you shouldn't have any problems there, as far as experience goes I've never used the two. Nice tek choice though, I'd recommend that one or Cybs salt tek as a newbie, very easy to follow with great results.

Thanks for getting back to me so fast. If its pretty much the same I guess i'll just go with Ronsonol. If any one has used Ronsonol i'd love to hear from you.

And yeh I do like the look of the ATB Salt Tek i mentioned, I've read it a bunch of times and i think i have a pretty good understanding each step. I did read Cybs Salt Tek, it seemed pretty similar had great easy to follow step and the pic were very helpful to get a visual of how it should take place. Even though I wont be using that tek it was very informative.

Should be placing my order for bark in the next week or so, fingers crossed the bark is quality.
