REPORT
So this is my tenth trip on DMT and I think that the only thing that the trips have had in common has been the strangeness and perhaps the tast.
Note to self: see if there's a way to alter the taste of DMT without causing extra variables to come into play.
I don't know whether or not I'll post this report, because there isn't much to report other than the oddity of it all.
This was my sixth "a dose a day" venture--tomorrow will complete the week, and I expected that this would be pretty intense. I figured that⦠well, I don't know what I figured. For some reason I decided that I needed to take a bigger dose than I had the prior day even though the trip from yesterday had been very intense.
We went up on the hill--little brother and I--and we decided that he would go first. We were both nervous, I think, but his going first tends to ease my anxieties. And it did a bit. He hit it at 20mg (1/2 my own dose this day) and he found it to be pleasant. He mentioned it being a very light trip, but about what he expected from the dose. It vaporized well (I cleaned the GVG last night after my dose and put new screans in).
About five or ten minutes later, I went in for my dose. I decided to take 40mg and expected that I'd need to fall backwards and lay down through the peak. So I practiced falling back onto the pillow.
As soon as I took the hit (I did breathing excercises first with eukaliptis oil--it seemed to help) I felt a force restraining me from laying back. It just felt right to sit up. And so I did. I went into my zen pose and closed my eyes. I slumpped forward, and I was in an empty place. It felt as if I was in the DMT space, but no one was home. It was the strangest thing. I kept thinking that maybe it would hit soon, but it never came. It was like being in the eye of the storm; I knew that craziness was around me, but I couldn't find it.
I built this metaphore while I was still in the trip-space: It's like I am several layers of water. The layer that I was perceiving was the top layer--the oil layer, if you will. I could tell that right under me was this crazy trip going on--I could feel it--but I couldn't experience it. It was one of the strangest things.
I think that I said "dmt is a strange drug" while I was coming to the end of the "peak."
When I opened my eyes, I recognized things being trippy, but it didn't feel quite like it should have. The last times I took this high of a dose, things got pretty crazy, but nothing really happened here.
So I am left to ask questions: Is it that I'm building a tollerance? That doesn't make sense though because yesterday was a smaller dose and it knocked my socks off. Is it that I'm adjusting to the way I perceive a dose? That doesn't really make senes considering yesterday either. So what is it? What happened? The dose vaped perfectly (as expected from a clean GVG), and I held it for quite a long time. Could I maybe have burned it? It was windy, so I tried holding the flame a bit closer and longer than normal, but it didn't taste or feel differently in my lungs.
What a weird experience...
