Do you guys have a psychedelic sanctuary?

What I mean with Psychedelic Sanctuary is a kind of place that you go to with ur consciousness every time you go tripping. A friend of mine has a big tree. Like Yggdrasil, and whenever we do mushrooms he meditates immediately after ingesting them and reports feeling the breeze of the grass and sitting at the root of the tree and it always makes him extremely happy.

This is what I mean with a sanctuary. I was wondering if more people have this and if so, what kind. Haha. I personally when taking a psychedelic just go nuts in every direction and never know where I end up in good or bad. Twisted Evil Embarrased

Great topic!

When on mushrooms I often end up at the shore of a gigantic, beautiful river where the water morphs from water/glass/mirror/shattered to silkie perfect smooth. Different things flow past me at this river and it have never has really been the same twice to be able to pin point anything specific-sometimes good stuff but sometimes very hard to look at. Often people appear to be on an intricate flying carpet of varying make ups depending on the person. The carpets fly between the shorelines on this never ending river and these carpets attract or repel what ever is floating across the river at said time. One time there were many people on one carpet but normally it is only one for some reason. On my side of the shore there is a geometric play set with very interesting lounge chairs but it takes a lot of work to not face the river and mentally move to this spot.

I do not always end up at this shoreline but it seems to be the "haven" I like to end up at. Peace full yet insanely busy and very sharply focused. This spot also seems to set in my mind with more memories I can recall- possibly has something to do with the focus of it all. Working on different ways to get there, mental maps of thought patterns or focusing on the flow of the water seems to help to some degree. Often it is a maze and little direction or focus can be had depending on dose, setting etc.

Perhaps I am asking the wrong questions but it doesn't interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.

It's better to have things, and not be running out than it is to be running out and not be having things.

I 2nd Great Topic!
This "sanctuary" concept will most properly be applied to meditation. I am all 4 MEDITATION and prayer right up to and sometimes through the "trip". I find a TRUTH there that is much more than I can "I ma Gine" I too "go nuts" and fully give myself to the Experience. I sense something other, older. It gets my complete undivided attention.

I am on the avid look out for a psychedelic sanctuary and as soon as I find one I will be sure to post my findings to this thread. In the meantime, I look forward to reading about the Nexian's favorite retreats.

I've always wanted a kind of sanctuary, mainly for when I start my psychedelic journeying, but it's something I've also thought about a lot in the past with regards to meditation. When I was a lot younger, my sanctuary in my dreams was my house, particularly my room, I loved it, there were countless times when I would realise I was dreaming, and I'd fly out of my room and fly around the garden!

If I create myself a new sanctuary, whether through meditation or psychedelics, it will definitely be a place among nature, probably somewhere within a forest, tucked away with lots of animals around Smile
