The purpose of this side by side experiment was to determine whether boiling MHRB in an acidified solution had any effect on yield or not. I was also hoping to significantly shorten this tek. Personally I had always followed vodsels approach (HERE) with much luck. Which is a q21 variant that added boiling and a recommended 4 hour basification.

I decided to shorten the basification step to approx 10 min for both extractions. I wanted to keep everything the same besides the boiling part so that it would be more controlled. Unfortunately I had to make some adjustments due to consistency requirements for lime teks. I will outline all the differences below. The bark was all the same batch.

Boiled Acid/bark:

Acidification:

100g MHRB
250ml white vinegar (5% acetic)
100ml water

Simmered for approx 2 hours stirring every 15 min or so. Added 100ml water due to consistency becoming dry too early.
Removed from heat

Basification:

Slowly added lime till we reached the near crumbly consistency. Took 163g
This step took 20 minutes to complete. 2 pulls were completed directly after.

Pulls:

1st pull - 213mg (Cold pull)
2nd pull - 255mg (HOT pull)
3rd pull - 188mg (Cold pull)
4th pull - 172mg (Cold pull)
5th pull - 115mg (Cold pull)
6th pull - 112mg (Cold pull)
7th pull - ~100mg (HOT pull)
8th pull - ~100mg (HOT pull)

Total yield = 1.255g

(Hot pulls did not seem to result in pulling more oils in first pulls compared to cold)

No Boil Acid/bark:

Acidification:

100g MHRB
100ml white vinegar (5% acetic)
100ml Hot water

Stirred in vinegar and hot water. Stirred periodically for 40 min. Added 80ml water due to consistency becoming dry.

Basification:

Slowly added lime till we reached the near crumbly consistency. Took 200g
This step took ~30 minutes to complete (pesky lime). 2 pulls were completed directly after.

Pulls:

1st pull - 325mg (Cold pull)
2nd pull - 330mg (HOT pull)
3rd pull - 155mg (Cold pull)
4th pull - 145mg (Cold pull)
5th pull - 111mg (Cold pull)
6th pull - 91mg (Cold pull)
7th pull - ~100mg (HOT pull)
8th pull - ~100mg (HOT pull)

Total yield = 1.357g

(Hot pulls did not seem to result in pulling more oils in first pulls compared to cold)

The water for the no boil was not that hot. Im not even sure that heat even matters. Dreamer says he has luck just doing a stb, mix bark water and lime, then pull. Either way I am pretty sure a 10 minute acidification, 10 minute basification then pull, would yield the same. No heat needed.


This tek is the easiest tek there is IMO. You literally CANNOT mess it up. So for new people trying an extract for their first time do this...

Take 100g Bark
100ml water
100ml vinegar

MIX periodically for 10 minutes

Add between 100-200g lime. Whatever takes it to a thick mud consistency. Mix till all white (lime) is gone.

Pour in 100 ml naphtha, mix, let sit for 10-15 min. Pour into precip container THROUGH a coffee filter to catch any bark mix just in case.

Repeat another pull. Put in freezer for 12 hours at least. DONE

Then pull forever until no more DMT crashes out. SUPER SIMPLE

Nice job anrchy , looks like the lime pushes the goods out within the fist pull compared to the 2nd & 3rd in regular TEKs !!
As I find the 2nd 3rd and 4th are the most important pulls IME that is !!

The reason pulls 7 and 8 were approx 100mg is because they all looked the same and combined came to about 417mg, I didn't weigh those ones separately. Pulls 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6, 7 and 8, were all done on both batches at the same time over the period of about a week. So basically I was doing 4 pulls at a time total on two batches.



Ya first 2 pulls are always larger for me when doing lime tek.

I just stumbled on this thread, the findings seem to be very significant, does anyone have done similar tests to confirm?

I'll likely repeat with the tail of my next extraction. What do you think would be better to see? An attempt at replication, or the same run with Hexane substituted?

This Tek is the truth! Just poured the naptha out of my collection containers for the first two pulls. This took about 5% of the time of the usual my usual tek which calls for several acid boils, basing with lye and pulling with naphtha (which takes several hours in itself). I'm going to finish my pulls by end of the week and post my final results.

I'm so used to boiling for anything that is not powder fine.

Pull 1- .198 (cold)

Pull 2 - .250 (hot)

Just put pulls 3 and 4 in the freezer.

This TEK is great for situations where you live in a house full of muggles. The vinegar boils alone can blow your cover due to smell and the mess boiling over mimosa or acacia can make on the stove/counter tops. This was real simple to clean and was able to be done on the sneak if needed.
