Ya know, that's another thing, I've not thought my extract was all that harsh on the lungs. I tend to take weenie hits when I'm expecting something harsh, so it may just be me...and that may also be why I've have not gotten any great effects too.
Especially when we soaked some Bufo-tone into a joint, it was just like smoking a joint, except the obviously stronger body buzz.

I tried smoking it slowly but didn't get anything beyond a tingle. I had to really punish myself to get a load in. I think with this stuff it's always going to be pretty damn hot. Even with my last extract there was zero nausea and barely any vasoconstriction, so the toxins couldn't have been all that prominant.

I now smoke it the same as my DMT on ash in a bong, but like in Ron's test tube vape I let it sit for a minute, problem is my hands aren't big enough to cover all the hole efficently. I may have to invest in some clamping equipment.


One more thing... I'm now just heating to 150 and because the limonene isn't hot enough to evap slightly on contact with the glass when pouring out, the bufo isn't sticking to it as before. The crystals are so tiny, they just float around and it's almost impossible to decant, even with my tiniest pipette.

I'm flirting with the idea of pouring the bufo/limo through a cotton filter, letting it dry and then washing the cotton with acetone to retrieve the goods.

Anyone got a better idea?

Why not add some acetone to your limonene ? Acetone will catch the bufo and is non soluble in limo, so you can separate them easily. Then evaporate your acetone...

I thought acetone was miscible in limonene?

Well it is in xylene and I generally treat the 2 as the same.

actually it may not be...to test it out..just get some clean d-limo..and some acetone and see if they mix

Gonna leave it for a bit just in case of late seperation but it doesn't look hopeful. Probably would make a funky cologne though so let's not sell it short.


Anyways 200g's of seeds, 5 litres of acetone, much mixing, drying and finger tips so burnt they've grown a crispy shell... I finally have something I wouldn't describe as brown.

Havent weighed it. It's quite fluffy so I'm guessing no more than 70mg.

No going straight to bioassay this time... must prepare carefully for this because I'm not sure if I can stomach the whole process again right now. Maybe in a month or two.

From here on it's all about keeping ears to the ground for uber potent strains.

Getting a gram from 50g's of seeds seems like a fantasy right now but some day, hopefully

HMMM!! if the acetone merged perhaps you can do something similar to MEK:heptane...except you would just do d-limonene:acetone the acetone would evaporate off..and the bufo should drop out..then you may be able to wash it with something like heptane to get any d-limo off of it..

Lost my job a while back, which I wasn't too bothered about but as I'm having trouble finding another it means back to my folks place for a couple of months until I find my feet... no extracting there

damn dude...that sucks...well...just remember...you wont forget how to do all this stuff..so as soon as you get a new place..you can start right back up..just make sure you come to the site and stay up to date...dont want to miss anything good

I'll still be extracting mesc and spice on the sneak if needed and I'm sure a friend wouldn't mind inviting me round to cook... it's just this one extraction is pretty difficult to hide/transport.

I'm surprised about acetone/limo... SWIM added some limo in some bufo+acetone and there was distincly two layers, but maybe it is because there was some bufo (dark amber color) in the acetone...
You may also try with ethanol.
