I knew there would be another sprout on my smaller plant Smile This guy just popped up a few days ago. I am hoping my bigger plant might even grow a couple more.

Sacred geometry? I have had 2 pups on both my plants sprout basically at the same time. All from the bottom areoles, and my bigger plant grew them on either side of the existing branch. It's amazing how these plants grow.

^^^Nice cactus! Looks good.

This venerable and very scarred Myrtillocactus geometrizans, supporting my Aztekium ritteri has become a good source of offsets, which I can remove and root, and grow on to become more grafting stock.

Hey, some nice cacti there - I especially like the cristate. A very nice start. And you have some neat stones for top dressing. If I may say, don´t let weeds grow in your cultivated plant pots - they suck nutrition out of the soil very quickly.

This is Icaro DNA seedling that is starting to look scary! When I bought this guy, he was so tiny. I got a few of these, thrown in as extras because the roots were tangled up. This was the runt of the litter. I handed off 1 to a friend that is also pretty healthy. The best looking of them all perished. The other remaining seedling is doing well and quite a bit taller. This one grew fatter than any other seedling Ive grown. Not quite as tall as a Bic lighter.

Another seedling that I'm a little extra fond of. Its a Scop cross of some sort. Jules, SS02, Huanacabamba... not sure. I had all the pots labeled, but the sharpie has faded.

This moro has shot up fast since I moved to the new place. Must really like it. Seems nearly impervious to the scale bugs that have so viscously plagued several of my plants. I think the texture of its slightly heavier skin my be more trouble for those vampires to dig in.

I really hope this one melts faces, it is vigorous!

Does faded sharpie look darker under blacklight?
Even pencil would out last ink.

I collect the pop cans people bring into my house and cut them up for plant tags. Firmly write on them with a ballpoint pen and the impression is readable for many years. Each can gives a fair number of tags, but only cut up cans from people you know, it'd just be embarrassing to get hepatitis from a plant tag.

A lil Horror Pron for you sickos!

I had my neighbor take care of basic lawn care over the summer. He is a young kid and must've been a little too loose with the weedwhacker. This is a Jules x ss02 (or maybe the other way around) that was way overdue to be up-potted. I rinsed the wounds with alcohol, repott with fresh soil and kept it inside where it is getting sun mid-afternoon thru sundown. Drinking only distilled water for now. I think he has made it though the infections... but I have not seen any new growth yet.

Ive named this one "Danny Boy" after his would be destroyer. I guess if he makes it, the name is less appropriate.. but whatever.

For DG, who sent this to me a couple years ago. Thank you sir!

This Lumberjackus stalled for a long time... but has sprung into action in our new yard! Once I get through this winter and see pick out a good spot, I think this sucker is going in the ground. My yard has some drainage issues, so I will likely replace a decent section of earth with my soil/azomite/pumice/castings mix. So Swollen.

looking good MadCap, if you have drainage issues i highly recommend a raised box. put 1/2" hardware cloth on the bottom to keep moles/voles/gophers out. if your in a hot dry space you cab sink the bottom 1/2 of the box in the ground to help it from drying out quite as quickly

Huanacabamba (spelling most likely completely wrong) I call him La Bamba. A super fat 8 rib tip came my way a couple years ago via trade. Im pretty bummed at how much skinny growth I got...its starting to fatten up now. Location, Location, Location. Not plagued by the scaled bugs here, thats a big plus. I'm hoping for a base pup, which should grow donkey fat, then in a year or two, I can cut the skinny bit off really low and bury the stump.

My Huancabamba Pach (from SS) has grown the same way. Seems to really need a LOT of light to fatten up properly - more than I can give it where I am.

I let this hybrid Jules x huanucoensis (or reverse) get so root bound that it sent out roots into the air in hopes of finding water in the walls of my my house. As soon as I got to the new place, I repotted most of the cacti. Several of them sprouted base pups. This plants so young, I am surprised. I think the season or two of water starving it, followed by heavy ferts and a bigger pot... Triggered pups. All three cacti I had with roots growing out the side have pupped since repotting.
