I want to make a t-shirt out of that slogan. Haha!

Hello there Nexians! It's been a while since I've had anything useful to share, but believe I've been busy! As of April 17th I am no longer a cog in the wonky wheel of Corporate America! After 10 years of soul crushing dedication, and with a mile long list of xerox award certificates and a plethora of other ultimately meaningless accolades and accomplishments, I was escorted up front to the lobby and notified that I no longer fit the needs of the company, and thus had been terminated from my employment. I'll never forget how I felt as they requested the return of the Employee Identification Badge that had so proudly adorned my retractable lanyard for so many years! It finally dawned on me.... That I would never be able to use that lanyard to choke my way up the corporate ladder as I had often dreamed! Such a shame!

As you can probably detect from my sarcasm, it was one of the greater days of my adult life! Perhaps this was the Karma Refund that I'd been hoping for!? Actually, It had to be! So anyways, enough of me being a dick... I guess I just wanted to shout to the nexus that I am free again! I was given the rare opportunity to start over at 30 years old! Not to mention I'm vested with the company for retirement and had a sizable 401 contribution sitting there if needed!

With that being said, I've been highly interested in mushroom cultivation for 6-7 years and have at least one very poor attempt under my belt a few years back. With all of the extra time that I've been blessed with recently I decided to give it a legitimate shot and started schooling myself in the ways of the shroom. I've been experimenting, using my creativity, and of course learning like crazy from the elders and my own personal experience! And I've been LOVING every moment of this journey!. I'm currently in the process of getting some pics up so I can chronicle this mystical crusade of mine and share my joy with anyone interested in stopping by and having a peek. Hopefully I can use this thread as a jump off point for my continued learning, and perhaps give back some tips to the younglings! Please feel free to comment/participate in my thread and do what you do best! Help to provide a positive learning environment and share your wisdom as to to guide those with the passion and dedication to learn! Thank you sincerely for guiding us newbies through the art, the science, and the magic of mushroom cultivation! Help us to keep our heads up, hopes high, and intentions pure as we strive to harvest the fruit of our labor!

I will be updating this thread with my initial experiences, thoughts, questions, and concerns as I go along. I don't think there is much need for several threads to be started on my behalf! I will make sure there is enough mushie porn throughout to keep you fungal fetishists coming back for more!

See you soon folks!

Congrats on your new found freedom. :-)

I've had some memorable firings myself... ahh, the joys of youth.

Glad to hear that you're taking up fungal growing. The world needs more mycologists.

Would love to see your pics, and if you have any questions let 'em fly.

More people should handle getting fired the way you do! Very happy
Mushrooms have been my mainstay entheogen for years now. The growing process is very fun and rewarding, and provides meaning and a sense of pride in and of itself.
The experience itself is perfectly suited for re-evaluation of personal goals, deep exploration, and embracing the "suchness" of the moment.

After several years of living in a small apartment, surrounded by nosey neighbours, I will have my own property in a more secluded area, surrounded by nature. I am looking forward to starting up a more ambitious bulk grow, and learning more about these wonderful organisms in the process. My goal is to preserve a few different cultures and get fully self-sustainable.

I would love to see some of your pictures! Love

Excellent ! It's a great satisfying thing to learn and do . Mushrooms
are a truly amazing thing . It took a long time to understand the process
And learn a workable growing methodology. But through determination
It finally clicked . All the best

I thought extracting spice from bark and freeze preciping was awesome, growing these beautiful little wonders of nature trumps that ten fold. Im currently on my first attempt now and everything is doing quite well.

Good luck with yours!
