Title says it all really , how do you fellow changa lovers deal with the changa smell that comes with the rank after effects of smoking in the bong ??

Willing to bet that cleaning it with a mild acid (perhaps citric, or even better lemon juice since it smells good), followed by hot water, ethanol/isopropanol, then a second hot water rinse would do the trick. Agitation would only help.

Dish soap in the 2nd hot water rinse might get any smelly non-polar substances that would remain, as it allows them to become miscible with water. Worth a try.

If that doesn't work, hit it with some toluene/xylene. Just make sure that's completely evaporated before using again.

You smell that?
Do you smell that?
Changa, son.
Nothing else in the world smells like that.
I love the smell of Changa in the morning.
You know, one time we had a hill blazed, for 12 hours.
When it was all over, I walked up. We found loads of 'em, not one but a thousand tripping psychonaughts.
The smell, you know that indole smell, the whole hill. Smelled like . . . victory.

it's all in your mind, but what's your mind???

This is exactly why I bought a dedicated changa bubbler and stopped smoalking changa in the bonga. Neither burning DMT nor changa resin smell nice.

My best advice is to clean your piece frequently. I clean mine with IPA then do a hot water rinse every few times I smoke so it never gets really dirty.

The absolute worst is changa joints in my opinion. Since you are holding the joint the entire time the changa stink can permeate into the fingers you are holding it with. I've only smoked a couple changa joints due to the wastefulness of it, however each time I have had to wash my hands multiple times or use some sort of solvent to get the smell off my hands or else the smell would pervade for hours.

Despite the smell, I still love you my stinky psychedelic salad <3

I do love me the smell of some unburnt changa. Once the pyrolization of the sacred molecule starts it goes down hill from there Sad

I don't know why but the smell of burnt change smells like someone's breath who has some serious halitosisSick

I'll burn some sage to help with the smoke and running hot water and ipa through the bong is enough to be able to smoke cannabis again.

I usually clean my changa bong with acetone, but better wear a mask for that cause the changa stink coupled with the smell of acetone could make even the strongest stomachs wretch

I agree with jamie---you guys got it all wrong. Changa smells great. If i could, I would make (and patent and market) a cologne/perfume which smells of changa. I would call it changalicous and, without a doubt, it would make me a multi billionaire. People seem to love really rank smells (just sample some perfumes at your local boutique) and the smell of freshly burned changa would resonate well with the modern day cosmetic crowd. Nothing smells better than a person wreaking of that tripalicious taste of changa.

I feel sorry for you guys who seem to disapprove of the smell of a changabanga. To me, the smell of changa/indole brings back fond memories of the places and things i have encountered on my travels accross hyperspace and fills me with satisfaction as I reminisce on what I saw, and what I will see. My advice would be to never clean out your changabanga/changapipe until the becomes a sanitation hazard. Some people never clean their coffee/espresso machines because they consider the continuous flow of coffee/espresso through the pipes to help add a distinct flavor to the brew, and they're right-coffee made from a seasoned coffee pot/espresso machine/french press/etc does taste better than coffee from a new machine. IMO the same goes with changabangas.

Any word on vaped changa and the smell? It seems hard to vape (and not burn) without a dedicated bit, which I don't have (yet), so I wouldn't know.

That's always a problem when you chang without the nang chaser.

The nang (no2) leaves a taste that overpowers the chang taste and smell and almost all you can taste and smell is the residue from the bi-products of the n02 and the n02 itself.

Chang nang bang ! Thumbs up

Seriously though, changa does leave a bit of an after taste but for me it's just a lingering reminder of the awesomeness I've just subjected myself to.

I love the smell of dmt and or changa smoked. Unless its burned to me it smells beautifully floral. I use good smelling herb infused ipa's to make changa. They add a very nice fragrance and taste on a whole. Maybe give that a try.

DMT xtals smell especially floral. Do you dislike that as well?
