SWIM would like to clarify; they found Ketamine to have far more CEVs, than DMT....ketamine doesn't seem to have much to offer in the typical OEV aspect (whilst DMT produced the most profound OEVs)

I find DMT more visual in every sense.

What I find special about ketamine is the fact that my body becomes what I see and I perceive my body as melting/changing/dripping through a grid etc. I kind of get these sensations from DMT, but not to this extreme.

There are different kinds of ketamine.
Most ketamine is racemic, a mix of R-isomer ketamine and S-isomer ketamine.
The R-ismomer is more psychedelic, doesn't take away so much anxiety (can be scary?) and doesn't affect your balance more than being a bit drunk while the
S-isomer really blocks anxiety and make you feel like walking on your bare skeleton.(crawling to the bathroom)

I haven't taken it in a long time but I remember that ketamine made from ketalar could make me really paranoid while ketamine from other places was super nice...and wobbly.

I can't personally understand the people who get addicted to ketamine as to me it's just to weird.
Kinda glad to be back to normal when finished.
Obviously there are people out there (and on this forum) who have had very serious problems so be very cautious and
don't make it into a habit as peeing blood is probably not very nice.
One danger as mentioned is the lack of immediate punishment, It's not like you get a depressing "come down".

To me ketamine never was visual.
I could get really weird spacial/sensational feelings but never anything visual.

SWIM will see the white rabbit while in the K hole........SWIM says, that in order to get 'the vivid hallucinations': prior to entering K land.......... gazing at psychedelic artwork, while visually AND mentally anticipating the trip, as well as watching closely for subtle changes,.....SWIM will then lay down, and see and create the Ketamine visuals.

(Also, according to SWIM's experiences regarding the visuals one obtains while on Ketamine, she feels that smoking a bit of Tobacco a FEW HOURS PRIOR to ingesting Special K, helps her to have a more visually vivid trip).

http://www.lycaeum.org/l...th_Experience.9260.shtml

The NDE is another unique case concerning Ketamine. It's more plausible for SWIM to argue that the reason Ketamine was taken off the shelves, wasn't simply because the patients were 'hallucinating', but in contrast were reacting to their personal near death experiences. (All of the patients were given it IV or IM. They weren't snorting it, as Ketamine was never intended to be administered this way. Although it seems the majority street users snort it, depending on their method of snorting, much of the Ketamine gets ingested and swallowed, thus converting to Norketamine which acts as an analgesic).

Insufflation < Intramuscular. The vivid and unique hallucinations experienced by patients who were injected with it, are still more profound. The whole experience may be an entirely longer and may be FAR less likely to form a psychological addiction.

Did the Ketamine ban happen because the patients were injected on ONE occasion during surgery and began craving the K-hole? Quite the contrary. And obviously enough patients experienced the effects of Ketamine which are classified as psychedelic, near death experiences and so on. Notice how the word got around quickly on how the people in hospitals were NOT ENJOYING the effects; we didn't even realize Ketamine had addictive potential until John C. Lilly began injecting himself 25 times (IM) everyday for a month straight.

I'm glad that you had a nice experience with ketamine. However, as one of the members said, I wouldn't touch that with a barge pole, while being dressed in HAZMAT suit and guarded by pack of Cerberi.

The Flaming Lips: Look the Sun is Rising

In this video around the 3:30 mark shows the white rabbit!!!! VERY SIMILAR TO (some of the) CEVs SWIM SEES ON KETAMINE I.M. The way in which one experiences a K-hole, by being teleported and watching and creating the White Rabbit out of thin air.....what starts as a rotating blob of white in the black space in your mind, finally becomes fully born.

This video is one of only a few psychedelic videos, that shows the white rabbit; the same loving, hugging, bouncing rabbit, jumping right into my arms.......stretching out his arms and legs.....only to give SWIM a great big hug.

...Follow the White Rabbit...for SWIM this single 'light at the end of the tunnel' type experience will be cherished forever in her mind...SWIM has not been the same since.....it's just that this one K-hole happened to be very special to her. Smile

Fellow creatures of the Nexus...thank you for your input, warnings, and your enlightning PATIENCE. I know that this is mainly a DMT Nexus but (either way) still felt the need to share this extraordinairy, glowing trip. Thanks to all for your input.

Spice trip reports from Swim coming up...next!

Swim remembers that upon entering the K-land, an OBE will happen; and all of the entities have a similar blue-grey metallic 'electrical static' quality to them. They speak (some of them) and their bodies are outlined similar to a blue-grey neon sign. Swim says the further the trip goes, the entities may appear more and more vivid.

Sadly there is a lack of K inspired artwork. This music video brilliantly and visually shows what K-land looked like (to SWIM).

Adam Jones of the band was the art director for this video...

This video and song SWIM has understood to be closely related to the K/DMT trip...

IN NO WAY is K recommended. This video is merely a rare instance, or a visual example, which reminded SWIM of K-land.

There are studies (links on Erowid's Ketamine page) that show that females, including female animals, are reported to have "more profound" reactions to K, in comparison to men.
This may explain why SWIM reported a rebirth trip. It may be that females that naturally have more sensitivity to K's effects, acts as an entirely different trip. Out of DMT, LSD, Mushrooms etc., Ketamine is actually one of the most extensively researched psychedelics, by doctors and science.

There is an Erowid page on K with tons of links to studies done.
