What are you guy's thoughts on the other major drug forums online? There are places that are a lot bigger than The Nexus out there (The Shroomery, Bluelight, Drugs-Forum, etc). Are most of you guys also members of other ones?

I have a Shroomery account, but rarely post. I like the Chemistry and Pharmacology subforums though.

I used to be on bluelight, though I still visit there time from time. Drugs forum is okay to go through. Don't know much about shroomery nowadays, will have to gander. Okay so their site updated a little a bit, mushrooms galore! Also erowid monthly updates, posted a few experiences on there too.

Im on shroomery, although I have only posted a tiny bit.

I like the shroomery, it is what it is and I love shrooms. As far as others, because of this place I see no real reason to venture off into the snake pit.

Not anymore although I occasionally venture into shroomery to read.
The thing I like with this place is the very good mod-team that I don't see anywhere else.
There's probably other good forums out there tough, at least I hope so.
I think that the Nexus community have created very good
policies on how to get along.
I'm in a lot of other unrelated forums though and it doesn't matter what subject are being discussed
but there's a lot of foul language, disrespect and egos that go unchecked.
Another thing I like about this place is the focus on safety where places like Bluelight is kinda pedal to the metal.

My sentiments exactly. I'm sure there are other good DMT type forums, but the Nexus is enough of a productive time drain that there would have to be more hours added to the day to peruse others.
Fear, belief, love phenomena that determined the course of our lives. These forces begin long before we are born and continue after we perish. We cross and recross our old paths like figure skaters; our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb, we are bound to others. Past and present. And by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future.

I hang in the mushroom hunting sub forum on shroomery, but really only during the season.

I've joined other sites, was pretty active in tripsit till it fell away, and the others don't have the traffic we have here.

I've also found the nexus to be an important part of my support network, good folks here, abs i do like the behavior rules and the mod team, well they can be cool too sometimes. Thumbs up

They all have their pros and cons that's for sure. I like bluelight for their "Big and Dandy" Threads, they are legendary. Lotso f low dose experimentation going on there as well. Also some really whacky stuff you won't find on the nexus. Shroomery is full of invaluable information and also pretty entertaining with all the ego stuff running wild. Shamanis australis and their cactus knowledge...as well as the mushroom nexus (mycotopica) and their g rafting and advanced mushroom cultivation threads )

69rons essential oil forum is weird but of course interesting and novel.....drugs-forum - i don't know, too much SWIM Pleased

There is lots to discover, the nexus isn't everything!

Mushroom hunting and ID is the best part of the shroomery, IMO.

There's a lot of info, but there are also many people who seek thrills by means of trolling.

I like the nexus Smile

I agree with the nexus being the best forum. I have an account on the shroomery but I rarely go there and I've only ever posted maybe once or twice. Dugs forum, blue light, myco etc I browse rarely as a guest. As others have said some of these forums are petal to the metal let's get wasted with little to none safety issues.

The nexus has all the info I need . the members here are responsible and mature people and it doesn't have the vibe of teenage kids wanting to experiment with new drugs as other forums do.

With the good there is always bad though and the nexus has dome.problems of its own. Mainly that being one of elitism and entheogrnic exclusivity. Meaning some here think there way of using these substances Is the only way. And while I agree with the respect and safety first attitude here. I'm a true anarchist fundamentally if I was to label myself that is.

I believe people have the right to do as they wish. Everything will be abused and used in unintelligent and irresponsible ways . as far as I'm concerned that is there right and it is how people learn. Its life and are purpose here. Some peoples view of holding the keys to entheogens is insane to me. And the thread that is a witchhunt for YouTube videos bothers me highly. Other then that I call this place home on the jnterwebs.

I'm thankful for the nexus and the people here. Much love. But as with anything there is always room for improvement and opinions will vary. Its one of the beauty's of life.
That moment when you wonder if this time you went too far....

Obviously everything discussed here is the fictional accounts of someone with an out there imagination. I mean really could any of these tales be real?

I browse Shroomery a fair amount, and I post there occasionally. The same goes for Mycotopia, though I would have to say I much prefer the mature attitude of Mycotopia to the childishness that runs rampant on Shroomery. I use DF and BL a fair amount when reading up on novel compounds that I don't know much about, particularly those that haven't been around long enough to have pages on Erowid.

All that said, the Nexus will always be my online home. Smile

The only other forums I ever enjoyed as much as the Nexus were The Hive and Overgrow.

RIP to them both.

I used to be extremely active and modded a couple forums on Bluelight but I only ever go there anymore to exchange PMs with old friends.

As far as current forums go the Nexus definitely feels like home to me. The maturity level on this forum is generally very high and we have a staggering number of members with immense knowledge in a vast array of fields who are willing to spend their personal time sharing that knowledge.

I love it here and Trav and all the mods who make this community possibly have my utmost respect and appreciation.

Well...here is what Trav's cat Fleedy thinks Very happy

Really though I like a lot of different forums, including the shroomery. They all have their ups and downs and are unique in their own way. I don't spend too much time elsewhere though anymore, and when I do it's usually just browsing.

What ever happened to 69ron? I'm pretty sure he vanished before my time, but I've been through the archives, and his chemistry knowledge was an amazing asset.

Agreed fully, all the people and info here are almost too much to handle (I mean that in a good way lolVery happy )! Shroomery is cool and all but I get the better good friendly info from Nexus! Just feels like family here!Thumbs up Shroomery? Huh?

I venture onto bluelight occasionally and mycotopia and the shroomery too.
I use to frequent cannabisculture too but when the MOM subforum went down (Jodie Emery was admin) I lost a great deal of interest but kept in touch with some quality people.
Everyonedoesit was also a great forum before it was wrapped up and sadly lost some of my own valuable salvia trip reports because of it.

The nexus has a higher level of respect and maturity than all of them andI always come back here but I still feel fondly for bluelight as there are also some cool down to earth people and threads.
I particularly like and have benefited from the big n dandy threads and especially the 'combo' threads.

This is literally the only forum where I don't get ridiculed for expressing my opinions or asking questions. I've encountered sooo many mean people on the Shroomery. I have an account there because I cultivate, but I don't post very much.

Oh yeah, the reset. me site promising and acasta joined as well, but i find it hard to wade through. Its pretty, but bug ridden and hard to navigate, for an old rock like me.
