Greetings All!
I would like to share with you all my newly set up altar.
Many items were gifts. I also bought and traded for many of the stones at a yard sale in Arizona and throughout my road trip this year. We saw a sign that read “BIG SALE” driving through the middle of Arizona and something called us to stop. The older couple who lived there were moving soon to Washington. Such a simple couple. Of the two large pieces in the center, one is a piece of amethyst, and the other is a piece of calcite with a large piece of fluorite growing off of it, and it also had amethyst growing on the calcite. The woman who lived there sold me these for pocket change. I was amazed by the generosity. They also gave us many pieces of turquoise seen scattered around the table, as well as the larger pieces of obsidian sitting just in front of the two large pieces.
In the back left corner is a large blue morpho in a bottle I got when I was in Iquitos. In the back right corner is a large pine cone I brought back with me from Lake Tahoe, CA. In the back center is a glass jar, given to me when i was young, painted by my sister filled with garnet pieces we hunted for up in northern NY. On top of that is a ceramic sphere given to me at Evolve Festival, a transformational festival in Pennsylvania. In the front center is a piece of quartz given to me by a special kind woman at this same festival.
There are small pieces of various gem, I grouped by type and arranged in lines. I'm eventually going to give these as gifts. These include obsidian, quartz, smokey quartz, rose quartz, amethyst, fluorite, angelite, moss agate, carnelian agate, sodalite, moonstone, rainbow pyrite, and garnet (arranged in front of the front candle). I also have colorful geodes obtained at a thrift store. In the center is a Buddha head with many faces, and behind him is a selenite sphere. Various candles are placed and used for different purposes. One was given to me upon completing my 200 hour Yoga teacher training.
In the front row are my incenses, sage, Paulo Santo, copal resin and cypress. I also have two sand dollars from the beach in my hometown in NJ, two rocks that called to me in the desert, a jade peace pipe for herbs, a piece of jade from Ireland, a piece of jade from Big Sur (the only place where jade is washed by the ocean), and finally a rock from Big Sur that I happened to put my hand on at the end of a day of taking LSD and noticed it was the exact shape of my palm. The earth had been wearing this rock away for millions of years to fit my palm Pleased.
In front of the altar I have a set of peace sticks. A man in CA started playing with sticks while on magic mushrooms with a friend once and it became something that they practiced often, using it as a meditation. On Aya he got the idea that he should be spreading this to others, and that’s just what he’s been doing. The best part is sticks are everywhere! My singing bowl sits just below that, and under that are my “tarot” cards.
I was so eager to set this up as soon as I got home. There was so much love and conscious effort put into this. It just feels so right! Big grin

nice. I like especially the blue globe in the center.

I used to collect rocks and crystals as well as coins. Each seemed to have it's own unique sense and meaning, sentimental value. I'm not sure what happened. Thanks for the pics.

Looks amazing! What material is the crystal ball made of? Quartz?

That big Connifer looks very nice. (it represents the Pineal Gland)
