I would say go back to trying with the Caapi brews. 3 x 3 hr simmers with the juice of a whole lemon. For me nothing beats Ayahuasca and for me Ayhuasca is the vine. Don't get me wrong - I'm not anti Rue at all but the experience is qualitatively different ... even changa made with Rue Harmaline is different for me than changa with Harmine.
AND I don't even think that Harmine / Harmaline are the main difference --- there's more to the vine than the Harmine but the Harmine is definitely different to Harmaline.
You've extracted spice so you can make changa easy peasy ( My preference is a Mullein leaf base soaked in Ayahuasca brew with a Chaliponga leaves and Ayahuasca leaves but thats just me )
I'll do a 3x3hr simmer just for the aya for my Changa.
Ignore what I write below if you want as it's just my thoughts on the subject and many will disagree with me : -
1) Don't go overly 'filter' mad with vine brew -- one or two strains through t-shirt material is enough for me. I know I'm getting more tannins when I have to and I see people over at Ayahuasca.com doing egg-white filtrations and all that jazz to get 'golden tea' but for me and the four or five times Ive had strong Aya experiences that I brewed myself it was like thick coffee.
2) Although my fist Challiponga experience was a little extreme and intense, using some Chaliponga leaves will strengthen your brew immensely ( I've had weak Chacruna on a number of occasions)
3) You've got extracted DMT so whatever you manage to do with your vine you can always add some crystals to the mix.
That's my 2cents anyway
PPS - autp-correct on this forum changing 'CHANGA' to change is ridiculous!
