Interesting idea if you think of in conjunction with psychoactives. Not sure if this has been mentioned before, it is a fairly new topic for discussion. Nanoparticles was mentioned on a subform for boosting solar energy. Nanoparticles may enhance the experience or onset with drugs..?

A special class of tiny gold particles can easily slip through cell membranes, making them good candidates to deliver drugs directly to target cells.

A new study from MIT materials scientists reveals that these nanoparticles enter cells by taking advantage of a route normally used in vesicle-vesicle fusion, a crucial process that allows signal transmission between neurons. In the July 21 issue ofNature Communications, the researchers describe in detail the mechanism by which these nanoparticles are able to fuse with a membrane.

Really fascinating area. DMT and gold!? Big grinRazz

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

for amphipathic small molecules (which most psychedelics are), conjugation with nanoparticles is unnecessary, since said molecules freely permeate the phospholipid bilayer. nanoparticles are more useful for transporting more polar molecules, drugs with poor bioavailability, and macromolecules such as peptides.

So its unnecessary besides the fact that it would work hypothetically? Yes, I feel it is more important for medicine than that of recreational use.. as the history states. A good example is turmeric as it has low bio-availability.. unless it is activated by key compounds. Same kind of action alongside harmalas and tryptamines.

it would work, but molecules like dmt don't need any help crossing membranes. the method is undoubtedly costly, so considering their bioavailabilities is the first step.

Drug Delivery and nanoparticles: Applications and Hazards

Quite a hefty read but intriguing, solid information nonetheless.

Its interesting to see such applications implemented under such conditions, as such toxicologies are extremely variant. With right methods, it could be safely done, and has some potential with certain cancer therapies and drug delivery systems. Analysis of interaction potentials, composition, formulation as well as other additional tests are needed.

A multitude of substances are currently under investigation for the preparation of nanoparticles for drug delivery, varying from biological substances like albumin, gelatine and phospholipids for liposomes, and more substances of a chemical nature like various polymers and solid metal containing nanoparticles.

Salvia divinorum seems like a good candidate for those who are unable to absorb the salvinorin A.. or simply require a simple binding push with salvia. This plant is a potent k-opioid receptor agonist, acting on the peptide dynorphins, the primary endogenous ligand substrate network.

Recently it has been reported that areca nut powder extract is capable of reducing silver ions to silver nanoparticles,[7] which may be useful as antimicrobial agents.
