Try and take this semi serious for a second... would you say there was a way to be "One" with Christ, God, Jesus whatever.. yes?Egyptian Coffin Texts- "Stand up on your intact feet, that you may open up the way to the gods" think everyone can agree there are godlike tools.. "Stand upon a cloth, a six-weave cloth upon your shoulder, grant the crane’s way to the sky" sooo a multi layered cloth that grants a way to the sky?"The bark of Ra shall be navigated by this crew of Ra who know no weariness" do I even need to explain this partdoes this sound like a way to "Walk" with Christ?

Well here's the thing. I take it that you think that the word "bark" in that sentence refers to the bark of a tree which could signify the use of DMT or some other psychoactive alkaloid. However, "bark" has two meanings. It can refer to the anatomy of a plant, or it can refer to a loud sound made by the mouth like a teacher barking at students, or more commonly a dog barking. In the classic Egyptological canon (for whatever that's worth), the story goes that Ra traverses the skies in his chariot, bringing day to the world. Perhaps since this happens ad infinitum day-in/day-out, that it may be said that he (and/or those who travel with him) know no weariness. There is no break for the sun god. When not creating day in the sky, he would travel through the duat (underworld). In addition to being commonly depicted with a falcon head, while in the underworld, he was often seen with a rams head, and has also been seen with the heads of a beetle, heron, serpent, bull, cat, and lion, in addition to yet others. Even though none of these do what we use the English word "bark" for, perhaps the roar of a lion may have been called a "bark". When we're dealing with other languages, particularly logographic ones like the heiroglyphs from the Coffin texts, the word "bark" might not translate so neatly as it is used rather idiosyncratically in English. I was under the impression that 'bark' has another, third meaning, namely a naval vessel? http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Bark+%28ship%29I found this picture of Aten and Ra in their bark (ship): http://www.pinterest.com/pin/160792649168532006/

I thought that the boat was spelled " barque ". At least Einsturzende Neubauten spells it that way in the liner notes for a song whose name I forgot on an album whose name I can't recall. " come auf meine sonnen barque" = " come with me on my sun boat ". Kinda evokes Ra, yes? Sine experientia nihil sufficienter sciri potest -Roger Bacon *γνῶθι σεαυτόν*

They're both correct: Quote:barque (bärk) n. Variant of bark. ****
barque (bɑːk) or bark n 1. (Nautical Terms) a sailing ship of three or more masts having the foremasts rigged square and the aftermast rigged fore-and-aft 2. any boat, esp a small sailing vessel [C15: from Old French, from Old Provençal barca, from Late Latin, of unknown origin] http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Bark+%28ship%29The Neubauten song is Sonnenbarke, from the album Silence is Sexy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcKz1GTZBJg

You're right, it probably is a reference to his barque. It seems to make the most contextual sense. In light of this the quote most likely refers to the endless renewal of the day/night cycle. "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein

I'd like to share this paper I found the other day while searching around. I was only aware of the use of Blue Lotus in ancient Egypt, but this writer makes a case for the use of entheogenic mushrooms in Egypt (back in the times when the local climate would still support these mushrooms). Quote:The entheomycological origin of Egyptian crowns and the esoteric underpinnings of Egyptian religion
Abstract In this paper, I theorize that the Egyptian White and Triple Crowns were originally primordia of the entheogenic Psilocybe (Stropharia) cubensis, which an Egyptian tale known as Cheops and the Magicians allegorically explained grew on barley, and that Osiris was the God of spiritual rebirth because he personified this and other entheogenic mushrooms. I go on to theorize that the plant known commonly as the Eye of Horus, which the Egyptians included in cakes and ales designed to spiritually rebirth the living and the dead, was an entheogenic mushroom cap entirely analogous, if not identical, to Soma. Finally, I explain why so many scholars failed to discern these identities and relationships for so long. © 2005 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. I didn't know that but it seems a logical thing to do, we still wear (references to) our sacred substances: DMT tshirt *** thanks for the Neubauten trip down memory lane Null24, I'm not a huge fan of their newer stuff but I like the lyrics to this song; the whole world cracks apart/ even in the underworld light seeps in through cracks/ filling its rulers with fear and dread
