For those interested: tonight will be a new meteor shower, and I say "new" because it isn't one of the old faithful annual ones like the Perseids. It's appearance is based on scientific prediction and could either be disappointing or spectacular. Peak should be 2-4am eastern US time, which is coming right up in just a few minutes. I'm packin' a bowl and heading outside.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

2-4 am in our time they should have been able to be spotted, it was said to me. GMT+1. Did not see meteors, but a spectacle non-theless!

I hope that that is a bowl of changa u are taking with you?

Dang it. Us city-folk never get to see these things.

Cloud cover moved in... But I guess nobody really saw anything. Ah well, any excuse to get under the infinite expanse. Last year I had just eaten two sugarcubes when my wife told me a meteor shower was happening that night... Turned out to be spectacular. Always worth checking out...

I was out there for a few hours but didn't spot anything. Always nice staring though.

My friends & I went out 1AM central time & stayed until about 3:30AM. We (in total, during that whole time) saw about 9 meteors going across the sky. One happened to not look like a meteor in that it was only a dim light that brightened and then dimmed out completely.

From my location, a thin cloud cover came in, but disappeared on and off; clear sky less than 2 hours in total.

Worth going to chill with friends, but was not as astounding of a meteor shower as the best one I have seen.

Completely worth exploring this phenomena with entheogens. Next one is in August on the 12th. Known as Perseids, it will be in view for most of the night. Catch it!

Dont forget the June Lyrids! Theyre not usually considered anything spectacular but they can still be nice in a dark sky.

I mean, ya know, union with the white light you could handle.
