Hello all.

A few months ago, I went on a 4-AcO-DMT trip, unlike any experience I've ever had before. As far as sensitivity, 20mg is quite intense for me. Similar to 400ug of LSD. A friend of mine described 20mg very similar to 3.5grams of mushrooms.

I took 100mg and went places I've never been before. I truly understand what it means to be one. I couldn't think about what I was seeing because my vision was my mind..

It's weird to use the word "I" to describe the experience, but perhaps that is my perspective now. At the time, it would not of been appropriate.

It came in waves. One minute I would be reaching out from this "void" and would try to have a drink of water. Then I would be swept back into a wave of unbelievable (but peaceful) intensity, where there was no meaning, no intention. There was one thing, everything. Time didn't exist at the apex of these waves. My mind wouldn't of been able to process such a thing. It just didn't work there.

I still had some connection to reality. I sometimes would be able to "see" objects from my reality but it was nearly impossible to think about my vision..

It was scary in some ways, being sucked into the void and then to come back every minute.

The peak lasted about 2 hours. 2 hours of this stuff feels like FOREVER. It's just so unbelievably intense you can forget that it will end.

I watched 6 hours into the experience as my door danced around my visual field as if it wasn't real. Unbelievably intense at this time still, but past peak. I fell asleep at 8 hours and woke up tripping later that day.

I recall as soon as I woke up I just walked outside with my eyes wide open in amazement and breathing in as much air as I could. Touching objects, feeling things, something deprived from me for so long is now back.

This entire experience lasted over 16 hours and ever since has been the subject of my daily thoughts ever since. It completely changed my preconceived notions on everything. It's like I've been reintroduced to the world. Something foreign to me. But treated with respect. I don't have it in me to kill an ant. Something I would of easily done without consideration before this experience.

I could go on and on, and write pages on this, but I think this is enough to perhaps ask the question that's on my mind.

DMT - is it vastly more intense than this, or perhaps more intense but rather close? When I read about DMT experiences, it seems like I was close to that. I was being spoken to. I was nearly disconnected from reality visually, if not already mentally.

Nothing could of prepared me for my 100mg experience, but if I were to try DMT at some point, would it be like visiting this experience again? There was something qualitatively different to this trip than to any other trip I've done before, of a lower dose.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I want to go back. I want to see more. It's like the void is calling for me.

From what you have described it sounds similar, but every trip is different with dmt, you dont always go to a void, you visit other places as well. When you go to these places it takes place after a swirlling pattern of bright geometric lights and thats a breakthrough. DMT only lasts about 10 minuits. Its broken down very rapidly by the liver enzym MAO. Acayauasca (think i spelled right idk) is a brew taken orally as a tea to prolong the exp. to 3-4 hours. DMT is drank with this maoi , not smoked, but one could orally take the maoi and smoke and that would increase the lenght of the trip. That tea has the MAOI in it and stops the liver from breaking it down fast. But sounds like you had a hell of a time tho! Kinda enviouse of that lolVery happy But its a very fast onset when one freebases it, thing is that ten minuits, seems, like, forever... But if longevity of a trip is desired i reccomend the Brew. Also, watch if u have netflix "DMT The Spirit Molicule" lots of feed on that documentary.

Happy travels and be safe friend!

very low doses of dmt are very similar to each other. However when you get into the medium to high dosages, it's all dependent on setting, intention, mood, among many other things....You can have the same type trip, time after time, or it can be so drastically different from one trip to the next to make you think you have taken a different substance. Anyways....from the description of your experience, I would say that you are definitely as prepared as anyone can be for a breakthrough dmt experience! Go for it Smile

Very happy I know alot of folks round here may shun what some call "research chemicals" but as far as 4acodmt goes there is some speculation, I beleive I read on Erowid that it may be converted into psilocin open ingestion...but either way LSD was a research chemical at one point and it changed many peoples lives for good or ill. Isnt 4-aco-dmt thecompound Shulgin labeled cz74? Aaaanyway ive had many wonderful experiences with 4-aco-dmt and I beleive just as with any other substance used properly and consciously it can benefit seekers in many ways. Ive had doses from 10-50+ mg and sometimes it got downright scary and morbid. Bodily decay. Seeing and hearing dead relatives calling for help....but also beautiful communes with a full moon and witnessing a meteor shower like no other I had seen. Just my 2 cents anyway...Smile
Fear is truly the only thing to fear. Smoke it if you have it.

Thanks for the input. Even at regular psychedelic doses (not out of your head doses) I find the experience varies greatly from trip to trip. I can imagine on a strong dose of DMT this variation is even more pronounced.

My only fear of smoking DMT is the issue of mucous production. I find I recently salivate excessively while tripping, and have a lot of buildup in my throat which isn't very pleasant.

Perhaps I fear something bad will happen..

This may be due to the season / my diet, I don't know. Tripping has never been the same since this trip.

I suppose I could smoke a little DMT first and find out if this occurs.

Thanks!
