Great work, Art. Go wild with the colors! I just recently started with sculpting, but have nothing to show yet. You guys have never seen some 3D stuff from me, you probably don't know that i am a Cinema4D Wizard. Here is an old (unfinished) project. Here is an new (unfinished) project. Combine them, and you'll get an idea in what direction i want to go. Currently i am playing around with character animation, (ragdoll) physics, fluid dynamics, and i am learning VRAY. Don't expect to see something soon, at my current pace it will take A LOT of time. You can expect lots of paintings in the meantime. Wow, you guys have been busy.
Pup, that's gorgeous. I love the color scheme and the way you used opposing gradients. I had a warm sunny springtime trip in the garden gazebo and those were the colors.
Handel, that's really cool, monumental and emblematic. Almost T-shirtable. I'd wear it.
Art, you must either be having a great time or going insane. What a fun and unique character, especially seen next to the original drawing. Looking forward to color.
Ryusaki, that's pretty surprising. The art from your easel and from your digital sphere have do little overlap. I think that's awesome, nice to have range. Digital art can be so involving, so immersive and frustrating, while paint is so elemental and direct. I love to experience them both.

Thanks, Guy. It's a lot of both. I love the work and seeing something turn the corner from formless blob to something with personality, but there is SO much work still to come before I finish the larger piece. I've got to think that I'm three months out if I commit 4-5 hours a day. All I can do not to go crazy is just keep my head down and focus on the part that I'm working on presently. Here is a turntable of the bust from last night. I roughed up his face a little bit more, tweaked the hair and threw a couple of band aids onto his noggin: Demon Bust Turntable View - WIP

There are some amazing artists on this forum. I wish I had the talent. I try to entertain myself with sketches, but it usually ends up the same- colorless and simple. Nothing to brag about, but at least I try! Here is the robotic-alien-fire-breathing Dragon fly that preys on nazi fighter planes..... Drawn while experiencing 5 blotter tabs. @pup tentacle. That looks so beautiful and mesmerizing! Love how the colors merge and the design has a ton of energy to it. Trips me out just looking at it.
@Uncle Knucles. Thats awesome! Mad respect. Youre really good at bringing an imagery to life with the 3D element. I cant wait to see that in color!
Everytime I check this folder you guys keep getting better and better. Theres some real talent on the Nexus. Dont stop!

271 Years Before Pantone, an Artist Mixed and Described Every Color Imaginable in an 800-Page Book Quote:271 Years Before Pantone, an Artist Mixed and Described Every Color Imaginable in an 800-Page Book In 1692 an artist known only as “A. Boogert” sat down to write a book in Dutch about mixing watercolors. Not only would he begin the book with a bit about the use of color in painting, but would go on to explain how to create certain hues and change the tone by adding one, two, or three parts of water. The premise sounds simple enough, but the final product is almost unfathomable in its detail and scope. Spanning nearly 800 completely handwritten (and painted) pages, Traité des couleurs servant à la peinture à l’eau, was probably the most comprehensive guide to paint and color of its time. According to Medieval book historian Erik Kwakkel who translated part of the introduction, the color book was intended as an educational guide. The irony being there was only a single copy that was probably seen by very few eyes. It’s hard not to compare the hundreds of pages of color to its contemporary equivalent, the Pantone Color Guide, which wouldn’t be published for the first time until 1963. The entire book is viewable in high resolution here, and you can read a description of it here. The book is currently kept at the Bibliothèque Méjanes in Aix-en-Provence, France. Steppa, how are you getting that effect with the photos? It's like an lsd vision filter. Once in a while, you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

The patterns are just other layers (in photoshop) on top of the photo with the blendmode set to soft light (I think). Everything is always okay in the end, if it's not, then it's not the end.

Whoa...thank you mate! I really dig your drawings to. I think I saw one of them used as an Ad on a vendors site, which shall not be named here. The last few days I worked with Mandelbub 3D again. Expect some cool fractal images soon. Everything is always okay in the end, if it's not, then it's not the end.

Beacon, that's fantastic. One test of a good composition: zoom in on your phone, scroll around. Anywhere you stop looks great.
