This is a bit outside the normal scope of conversation for the DMT Nexus, but anyone who lives in New England and is at all connected to the drug scene should be aware that there have been a rash of fatal overdoses recently involving heroin that has been mixed with fentanyl. Anyone who uses should be extra careful, given how easy it can be to accidentally kill oneself with fentanyl (which is 50-100x stronger than morphine). If you are in the scene, know someone in the scene, or know someone who knows someone in the scene, please get the word out. While I am not a user, I know of at least three people (mostly friends of friends) who have OD'd already in the last few days. Thanks for the Warning, Nathanial. Even though i only take Fentanyl during general anesthesia, it might help someone and even its just one person knowing someone who is into this stuff.

A little more west than New England, but I am not a big fan of opiates. i have used fentanyl 3 times. Not into the spins or puking lol and i had a buddy who got addicted to shooting heroin soon after trying fentanyl and smoking it with some frequency. He let his life get quite out of control and ended up going to a nearby state to rob a liquor store for money, which resulted in him getting shot in the chest by the owner after pulling a firearm on an employee. He was recently transferred from regular jail to prison where he will spend another 5 or 6 years i believe...... STAY OFF THE OPIATES!!!! I really see no reason to use opiates unless its used as a medication for physical pain, but that's just me  Good job raising awareness  I died a mineral, and became a plant. I died a plant and rose an animal. I died an animal and I became human. Then why fear disappearance through death? Next time I shall die, Bring forth wings and feathers like angels; After that, soaring higher than angels-- What you cannot imagine, I shall be that.

Uhh thanks I guess, but if you are concerned maybe you should post this to opiophile or someplace where actual junkies may see it. Most EC addicts know about rent, its been a 'cut' in white dope for some time now. Unfortunayely , when you put word out about a dope bag that's killing people, many real junkies will only want to know where to get it. Sine experientia nihil sufficienter sciri potest -Roger Bacon

That's why you raise awareness in people who are not junkies, or even users. Many people know opiate abusers. Those good friends who go out of their way to warn the abuser both give valuable information and show care, something harder to take seriously when an abuser is reading from an opiate-forum or a similar place. Also this is Open discussion, so i don't think there is a better spot to post this on the nexus, and i don't think selective awareness should be an objective IMO  I died a mineral, and became a plant.
