I feel kinda bad. I posted the op on the elyria bust sentencing, and a link to an article about some jerk named Diplo, who dates some other famous person and who is a 'dmt smoking criminal.' Surely not trying to promote any kind of tabloid mentality , in fact , I'm so uncultured I truly don't know who most of these people in these articles are.

But to ignore articles like these would be to ignore a trajectory that dmt consciousness is taking into the mainstream, if that's what its doing.

When ayahuasca enter tabloid consciousness it means that the wider mass cultural consciousness has to confront this thing.

When DMT meets mass cultural consciousness we get edm, visionary art, and burning man.

Lindsay Lohan was an exception, as I deem it positive in contrast to other members. But yeah, that are all opinions including mine. Nothing to get angry about.

I'm no fan of the Lilo angle by any means, but how may one tell if a topic is of importance to the OP? ... if the discussion that ensues may provide value or knowledge for that person?

Where I'm going here, is... some people don't have a garden full of entheogens. Some are earnest seekers but may be at the beginning of the process. Some people who wind up here may be supremely ignorant of the topic, but interested in a deeper understannding nonetheless. Perhaps these peoples' only exposure and discussion up to this point have been inside that vanilla, tabloid, mouth-breathing world? Better folks ask these things here, than in their Google® browser IMHO. What may seem vapid to many of us may just be the stepping stone someone else needs.

It seems to me what you get when this happens is that folks need to understand that once the genie is out of the bottle nothing YOU do can ever put it back. Thus, education, harm reduction and more than ever EMPATHIC CARING become paramount.

What you get is an amazing opportunity. Meanwhile, it seems to me that self-appointed celebrity spokespeople such as Leary and Rogan work hard against the opportunities for education and harm reduction, whether their actions are intentional or not. They need to be ultra careful because when they mention the genie, the mediots attend and cover. Yep, they must be very careful indeed, but, they are as human and excited by these revelations as anyone. And, thus things often become rather distorted quickly.

I take it tis Lohan person is someone in the public eye who did aya and now rants about it. . . If so, I can only hope she/he is very careful when they get up on a soapbox.
