I just wanted to take a moment and reflect on just how far we've come the last several years... I remember reading the old DMT World forum that was, in spirit at least, the predecessor to this forum. And I remember reading the DMT-Nexus in its original incarnation (pre-2008) before I joined. And man, things have come a long way! It's really wonderful what this site has accomplished.

I think this forum made the greatest contribution to developing a variety of safe extraction methods that take into account different people's access to different acids, bases, and solvents, as well as peoples individual ethical concerns (e.g. eco-friendly teks). Just think, it wasn't long ago that most people who tried to extract DMT would wind up following either Quantum Tantra (QT) or Yoda's methods, and either get hopelessly mired in the process or potentially end up with harmful contaminants in their product. That's a big point for the Nexus in the field of harm reduction.

In the last few years, some real valuable plant analysis has also come out of this site, including important analytical work on vines like Alicia anisopetala being mislabeled (or misleadingly labeled) as "ayahuasca". Good for science and good for harm reduction.

The reputation of the Nexus seems to be healthy as well. We're regarded positively (or at least not unkindly) by academics in the field. One of our members put his face out before the public on our behalf twice, presenting the information developed on this site at both the Psychedemia conference and the Psychedelic Science conference.

And the future is really looking bright as well. New projects like The Nexian (both the eZine and the online magazine) give me a sense of optimism that we can continue to grow as a relevant and positive force in the world of psychedelics. And there's still great work going on here, such as the ongoing efforts with Phalaris and Acacia.

I am grateful to everyone who has been a part of this progress. It's amazing to see what this community can do. And I look forward to seeing what we will continue to do in the future.

And let's not forget, none of it would have been possible without the constant efforts of our fearless leader.
Thank you, Traveler!

[Also, apologies to everyone whose projects and contributions I didn't mention. There have been a lot of great ones, and they all helped make this place what it is today]

Entropy, well said, I couldn't agree more.

I'd just like to note one (HUGE) contributor you've left off the list, who goes by the name of...Entropymancer!!!

Everything from your jungle spice paper to your work getting erowid to acknowledge the failings of the teks they had posted to the research and resources you've shared has been a major cornerstone for a lot of what's happened and been able to happen on the Nexus.

Seriously...anyone who thinks it's hyperbole need only glance at the stickied threads in numerous subforums. It's mind boggling how many amazing contributions you've made and continue to make. Your writings were one of the main reasons I found the Nexus and decided to become a part of it.

So thank YOU for everything you've done to help make this place what it is. Big grin

Bumping to spread Nexian Gratitude and also to bring some awareness to another project that the nexus is currently working on:

The Open Hyperspace Traveler

Just discovered this project recently an, while unfinished, is shaping up to be a seriously valuable resource for spreading awareness of the medicine and it is a fact (IMO Razz ) that the level in which this information is presented is highly commendable.

Good job Nexus!

Yes, thank you Nexus and thank you Traveler! This site changed my life, and provided me an outlet for a passion I didn't know what to do with. I am simply blown away by the maturity of this community and the dedication the nexus has to providing reliable, accurate, and non-biased information.

I have learned so much because of the nexus. I am quite literally living how I am because of the things I learned via the nexus.

Anyone know how we can get this added to the WIKI main_Page under "Other Projects"? I don't have edit right's to that page, else I would add it myself.
