So my first few psychedelic experiences were with the beautiful fungus and needless to say, these experiences were amazing. About two years after, I tried ayahuasca and was truly blown away by its bearable intensity and strong personality. At that time, aya was the only ally I was journeying with because I felt I needed to build a relationship with her. Eventually I was prescribed Wellbutrin (Bupropion) for moderate depression. I wish there was more information on the interaction of caapi with Bupropion, but the little I found was recommending against it, so I have yet to journey with her again for over a year.
But one thing I noticed was that a number of aspects of the aya trip had shown up during mushrooms. Namely, the closed eye visuals had changed quite a bit. Aya and smoked DMT had always given me visions of sentient forms (often women) taking turns reaching out to me, singing, and showing me objects. And now even on a small dose of mushrooms I experience the same visuals, when previously mushrooms showed me designs and the frankly, average visuals you associate with psychedelics. While DMT/Aya's visuals are far more colorful, the outlines and forms are still there but just without the vibrant fillings.
Also, the purge I experience on ayahuasca is not only throwing up but it involves a whole lot of spitting throughout the whole experience. I also found this to be the case with smoked DMT. This consistently shows up in my mushroom trips as well, but I cant remember noticing it before my journeys with Aya.
My question to you guys is, have you noticed anything like this? As is always the case with psychedelics, the placebo effect is a powerful one. I may just be noticing things that I hadn't before and connecting the dots.
Thanks, and sorry for the long post guys!

I always find these threads interesting, because mushrooms have always given me vision just as alive, complex and animate as DMT and ayahuasca. There was never a before/after for me. It's just always been how mushrooms are. Long live the unwoke.

A strong DMT trip once effected mushroom trips for several months afterwards. I agree with Jamie, that shrooms can be just as powerful as DMT, but there is certainly a qualitative difference in them and for sure a strong DMT trip biased my shroom trips in that direction afterwards. If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.

I'm with the OP on this one. Ayahuasca and DMT seemed to have changed the way I experience mushrooms to be much more like ayahuasca whereas before they had a more distinct personality of their own. That's just how it was for me. The visuals on mushrooms became much more intricate post-DMT. "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein

We're meandering further into the windy corridor of the unknown. Everything we ever were is right there at our fingertips.

I agree with Jamie.
When i drunk Ayahuasca the first time i was astonished that it was so close to an deep mushroom trip.
But i have seen the effect of Ayahuasca bleeding into an LSD experience, which was very strange. I took the Acid (around 300-400) tree weeks after the Ayahuasca rituals.
The comeup of the acid was fast and similar to Ayahuasca. The first 3 hours i was completly unable to walk around and i had destinctive Aya/dmt visuals, snakes, dna, jungle etc... the full program combined with intense mental work going on. It was kind of difficult and totally uncommon for what i usually experience with that dose of Acid. The Ayahuasca spirit was there working with me, i could clearly feel and see its presence. It was not fun but hard work.
After 4 hours the snake left (after waving goodbye), and i was in the usual acid headspace. (the visuals changed) It also didn't last that long afterwards. The next time i took acid (from the same batch) it was without the aya influence.
